I caught this live, and it had me tearing up. If you haven't heard the first part where they discuss coach Saban, you need to watch it. The whole thing was amazing. His honesty and willingness to come on air and discuss something that was still so raw, gave me a new appreciation for this man. He also made me remember how thankful we should all be for coach Saban and what he did for Lsu. We wouldn't be enjoying the Heismans and Nattys if it wasn't for him. This interview also kicked up my excitement level off the charts for this hire and the defensive outlook.

Pete Jenkins is my favorite college football coach ever. Remember one recruiting story regarding coach pete. This was in his early years at LSU. Big time DLine prospect. Offers from all over the country. LSU wanted him bad. Coach pete and recruit somehow got stuck in an elevator just them two. In there a few hours. Cat signed with LSU imagine that.

Coach Jenkins and Coach Saban is right. Whether it is offensive or defensive line and how tough those players are, and how big their attitudes are feeds the whole team. It is almost as important as how tough and the attitude, along with the leadership the quarterback exudes.

Pete says “I don’t know what happened” [to our defensive depth] …. If he don’t then it’ll be hard to rectify! He offers that the delay with Bo may have been a factor - why then will the portal guys not reconsider…?
