I was one of the few AEW fans who began by disliking Cody (because his in-ring is so poor compared to other BC/Elite members) but who actually became more and more a fan of his as time went on, because of his incredible ability to tell a story. Most AEW fans started out loving him then began hating him more and more. It is a rare thing for me to watch WWE (only recently done Roman and Brock), but now that I see they will be using his American Nightmare gimmick complete with the presentation used in AEW, I absolutely will watch Cody’s segments on Raw.

The million dollar [follow up] question for me (@9:03) is to understand exactly “What It Is He Wants”. He eludes to his “want” being to finally win “the big one” & dedicate it to Dusty. He has spoken about this before (specifically how he ‘had’ always dreamed of winning the championship & handing it to Dusty). So perhaps a posthumous version of this, is what he is referring to. If permitted to speak about it, I’d love to hear him articulate it specifically (& then I’ll be rooting for him to achieve it). That said, it is Cody, so I could be way off & he has other motivations entirely. Great interview!

@@Alex-cs7pg depends on who's holding it. Hangman is a forgettable champion. Kenny had a more entertaining and memorable run with the title since he worked every show.
