Most common questions I get ...
1) "Doc, what BLOOD KETONE METER do you recommend?"
ANSWER: FORACARE: on.bozmd.com/fo... (Promo-code: Dr.Boz)
It's accurate and takes only ONE test-strip to get results. YES!!
2) "Doc, what can I have while fasting?"
Salt + water are best.
Salt: bit.ly/3bkpZMl (Promo code: DrBoz) Sounds weird but it's strangely satisfying.
Black coffee - I prefer cold brew coffee.

I got the KetoCONTINUUM workbook last week but had a difficult time understanding the chart… thank you, Dr Boz, for doing this video and walking us through the meaning of those steps. Yes, I can read it, but to also hear it explained has made a huge difference in my understanding of it.

@@jasonfrye8790 yes, I'm still doing well. I did Dr. Boz 21 days earlier this year, and it set a foundation for a group that is still together, helping each other to stay the course and me. We talk on an app. and have 1 meeting a week. The 21 days are so worth doing. I have healed a lot. Lost weight. My BS is in the '80s, and my DBR is 20 to 30. Is it easy to do no? We fall off, but we help each other get back on. Good luck with your journey. You're in the right place. Please feel free to reach out if you need help.

I am constantly learning from you. Thank you for explaining this chart. I have been maintaining my current weight for 2-1/2 years. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I can only manage a 24 hour fast, I never tried a 36 hour fast. I think it’s time!! What would be the benefits for me? I weigh 130 lbs and I’m 5’4” & currently eating 1-2 meals a day. Started keto 3 years ago. Thank you for all you do!!

Love this new documentary!❤️ I read both your books, Dr Boz! I’ve been living mostly at 16:8 for a few months. I’ve had good results with the Ketogenic diet so far, but I cannot seem to get motivated to move farther along on the continuum and my weight loss has really slowed down. Fasting for longer periods kinda scares me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I was failing on getting back on the keto diet. I’d been keto/very low carb for almost a month after falling off for 3 years and gaining back my weight i lost being Keto two years before, but it just wasn’t coming off. I found you through Dr. Cywes and I saw your video on needing to eat more fat and more consistently in the beginning to restore hormones. So I was like, fine, I’ll try eating more, so I’ve been eating three meals a day, my only carbs comes from the Keto Chow shake I’ve been bringing to work since I don’t have time to eat for lunch, and low and behold 5 days later I’m down 7 lbs, much of which I realize is water weight, but probably also helped by my cutting the carbs and sugar over the past month. Im shaking my head because I’m having flashbacks from my keto the first time around where I had to make myself eat more to lose the weight. I wanted to jump right into the intermittent fasting I had been doing a year in, bc that was where a lot of my weight dropped. I’m gonna fight the urge to not eat (I’ve often spent days not eating until I get home from work), and try for at least the next two weeks to get in the healthy fat with three meals a day, and then follow your pathway from there.

Hi, Dr. BOZ!👋😀 QUICK QUESTION! - If your ratio is WELL under 40 but blood sugars are still higher in the 120s, is that ok? Meaning ketones are VERY high in the 2.5 and 3s ... So is it OK to have higher sugars in the mornings if the ratio is AMAZING? (TYPE 2 ... Hit a ration of .17 the other day on my week of water fasting!) THANK YOU!
@TgWags69

I heard Dr Berry address this last week. He said to look at the A1C to see if it is in a healthy range. He said that often type II diabetics with persistent higher sugar even when on keto/carnivore will have a lower A1C. He said it appears that the body's natural sugar produced in the liver is less glycating and doesn't stick to the blood cells as bad and by extension less damaging.....I'm still waiting for mine to go down as well. Best I got so far was 120 after a 76 hour fast, but I've been DM II for 20 years with an A1C over 12 before I started in January. It is frustrating not to have the numbers drop quickly but my last a1c was 8.2 without taking any insulin or meds and feel much better....so I'll take that

Dr. Berry has live shows on Monday evenings where you can ask questions. Also have you taken your BS later in the morning and not first thing?
@martijobarrett4527
@martijobarrett4527 3 жыл бұрын
@@wyokat1335 Thank you! I should ask Dr. Berry. I watch them all. I have taken my blood sugar at any time you could possibly imagine over the past 21 years. I figure taking it at the same time each day is best. I don't want to just take it because it is a lower time of day.🙃 It was 91 this morning and ketones at 3.7. I'll take that any day. It is the days I hit a 120 BS and a 4.0 ketones that are interesting to to me. VERY desired on Dr. BOZ's ratio chart (and the standard GKI chart, of course), but still a high(er) blood sugar. I get those when I eat two or three days in a row. That's my max eating days in a row.🙄👎 So my basic question is this: Is it just as good if the numbers are hitting where she wants them to hit?
