Cracking video as all Hornby Mag videos are in my opinion. Mike is a natural presenter and always draws the best from the 'interviewee' . Also really encouraging to hear the depth of knowledge Richard has about the loco and the models.

Well I just sold my Bachmann original 24 & 25 to a dealer in excellent condition so you could try him Going Loco both BR green ones. Im getting an SLW one

Still don't know, when they've Brought out a 24/1 with headcode box and now these,they've skirted over bringing out a class 25/0?? An own goal by bachmann,as no one has brought one out,they could've cornered the market

thank you both for a really detailed product intro, Mike your presenter skills as usual are fantastic, Richard your product knowledge came across as 1st class, I have older class 25's which really look dated compared to these, my only complaint would be the cost of entry level engines, at nearly £200.oo they will not be available to younger or to older people who are interested in the hobby, as we are all aware the limits to the amounts we can spend on the hobby in most cases is not finite, but really did enjoy this presentation

As you have the main Bachmann man there is there any chance you can ask him if Bachmann will ever re-release all their exclusive RTC coaches again, they have the biggest and best back catalogue of them, also a class 37 in Network Rail yellow in the newly tooled model along with the Europhoenix silver livery?

TT:120 is growing and the range from Hornby is starting to expand. No doubt in the future other manufacturers will start to produce in this scale and we're sure the Class 25's will happen

I remember when the first sound fitted locos were £200 ish. £300 plus, getting a bit silly. I can't see how it will attract people to the hobby on a tight budget. I guess it will be DC using first generation Bachmann, Hornby etc. A decent 5 pole 25 for £70.

Frustrating that Bachmann have released another class 25 to the market, as have Heljan and SLW. Appreciated these take years to plan but the market has been flooded with same type products, glad I moved to O gauge!

This is our GCR layout. We built it a few years ago and we use it to film all our OO Gauge tests, reviews and sound demonstrations. While we did exhibit it for a while, it's days of getting out are over and it's now permanently located in our studio.

Bachamnn have achieved near-perfection, all that is wrong is 16.5mm gauge / not 18.83mm. Note the 8F 48045 with a Fowler tender, are Bachmann to produce an 8F?

The 8F is one of the Hornby models that was produced many years ago. Bachmann are yet to produce an 8F in 'OO' gauge

D5275 to D5279 were built with uprated engines specifically for the Tunstead to Northwich limestone workings of 18 hoppers. When they left Deansgate Junction they had to be garanteed a run through Hale, Ashley & Mobberley or they would stall on the bank, and, boy did they dance on the track. My husband usd to work in Skelton Junction Signal Box.

15 minutes of Proudman just awkwardly talking to Mike about the Rat's individual detail differences, sure it's all well & nice but I want to see actual close up visuals of the model for me to get an understanding of what those differences are... Like the 31 far too much waffling going on, that convo could be easily condensed into 10 minutes or less...

Basically some have 2 underframe tanks some don't. The ones that don't also don't have steps on the side. Later ones have different cab fronts to eaflier ones. The later ones don't have body side grills as they are on the roof.....
