Super cruise is surprisingly useful for towing. I use it all the time towing my 6k lb travel trailer with my 23 high country

NO amount of virtual or factory testing can ever truly replicate reality. Prime example is the truck suspension bouncing over virtual bumps - wheels are not turning, no low or high frequency vibrations, just a test of suspension as if it was parked. Pointless.

Big fan of this, but those 24s are enormous and even with air suspension, seems like that would be a harrrsh ride on Northern U.S. roads.

How far did you tow it ? That’s always the Achilles heel of EVs.

@georgewashington3012 It will have towing range loss at the same rate as ICE trucks. I tow a boat with my RST and still average over 350 miles average with the boat behind me. I have not noticed any "Achilles heel". The only way for you to find out is to try it out by renting one at Hertz and do your own particular towing test. Most folks who have towed with this truck have not noticed any "Achilles heel" either.

I have the Sierra EV and it towed my camper farther than my V8 F150 did on 26 gallons.

@@georgewashington3012 I only did one tow trip so far in my Sierra EV. I had a 6k lb trailer and went about 700 miles one way. Got about 310 miles range. That was on freeway at 75-80mph so maybe it could have been more at slower speeds.

What I hate about this new vehicle fad, is the giant roof glass. The trucks are the worst because most of them can't fit into a normal garage, so they're in the elements all the time. Hell storms, and cleaning bird poop is going to be wide.

5600 Pounds is very small and then what about battery range with this small Towing Load ? Misleading Info.. Suspension / lack of Passenger seat comfort / no massage or reclining seats doesn't deserver a 100K Price .. Don't Buy it , just lease it as Tech is improving a lot and will be outdated in 3 years..

Nope .. After purchasing it 2 weeks back, I won't recommend it. For $114K, out the door , it is not worth it. Maybe good for Show Off.. . Not a real 4X4 truck for Off Road use , No luxury features as massager seats / 3rd Grade Bose Audio .. missing many features than many Kia / Hyundai offers. GM is making too much Profits on this one for sure.

@@QuentinWoodard-m9t I have the Sierra EV. My one tow trip with it was about 700 miles one way with a 6k trailer, and I got 310 miles range towing at 75-80mph freeway. Charging speed was fast enough on Buccees and Wawa chargers that I didn’t have to wait for the truck to charge, it was just ready to go by the time I was.

Testing on computers is great but they should also test on the roads before customers test it on the roads and find all the issues for GM. EV Blazer was full of glitches on arrival

Seems really obvious that state and federal regulators should establish criteria that these autonomous systems should have to pass. And it seems irresponsible for any serious journalist to report on this without saying that.
