Great tutorial. The process for setting up a Japanese account on the Switch looks way easier than the process I had to go through to get a Japanese PS4 account setup. I get why some of these games are exclusively on the Japan e-shop. I have a physical copy of Esp Ra.De. Psi, and none of the menus are translated to English. Still they should be searchable on our shop for people that want to purchase them regardless.

That's one of tha 1st thing's i did was set up a Japanese account to see what's there releases, wasn't sure how to go about tha eShop but your guide has covered everything needed thanks again & i managed to pick up ESP Ra.De sealed couldn't let it pass

cool.. anyway I have most of these as physicals and they work just fine on the switch no Japanese account needed... just saying and shmups can be pricey in Japan too as over there they have quite a market compared to here but once u have a physical u can always resell it if u like.

Thanks for the video! Do you have to use the jpn account to play jpn region games? A couple years back i read you could just change regions on your primary account then purchase games. But it would wipe your balance if you had something in it. I got $100 on my primary US region account so i didnt want to risk it. Wondering if you knew if this method was still valid? Since you made a jpn account im guessing soemthing was an issue? Thanks!

Hey Marco!! I wasn't notified that you had asked a question and only saw your comment now! Thank you for waiting. You do not have to use your JP account to play the games. After purchasing a JP game, you can use any account. Someone told me about the region-switching method a few days ago but I had never heard of it and it doesn't sound worth the risk if you have 100 bucks sitting there.

Yeah, some foreign ones certainly do (not that I have any of those personally) and I'd imagine some credit companies issue cards that the JP eShop would easily accept. Figuring out which ones though would be an immense undertaking ha! Thanks for swinging by!

@@Shmuptopia my bank does.. because I used my bank card for some Japanese musical artists blogs ( Visa cards were only allowed for those tho which my card is.. they blocked mastercards due to people not listening to the non posting rule.)

Thanks Pete! and great question. Tiger Heli (unless that has received a NA release and I'm no sure what the status is on Fire Shark but I think that's coming out soon and it may or may not be JP exclusive. Feels like an exclusive but I wouldn't quote me on that.
