Strictly has clearly struggled to sign celebrities this year which is particularly unfortunate considering it’s the 20th anniversary. The lineup is really disappointing but these two are both good signings. JB will do well and l have no problem with Chris being blind. Strictly isn’t a genuine dance competition, it was never meant to be and people have lost sight of that. It was meant to be fun and it used to be but it’s much too competitive now. Chris will be fun and if l was as happy with the other signings as l am with these two l would definitely watch it

@@rosemaryfranzese317 I'm American and our us version of the show Dancing with the stars has that same problem. It's like you said about the show not being a genuine dance competition, cause both versions of the show are meant to be fun and the fans of Dwts and strictly have forgotten about the true meaning of it, and they're treating them like a popularity contest. I know most fans would boycott certain seasons of the show over a controversial star, like for instance some people are boycotting this upcoming season of Dwts over Anna Delvey all because she robbed millionaires and was arrested for it and was place under house arrest. last year people tried boycotting strictly over Amanda abbington all because she was accused of being transphobic, it's the same thing over and over again but it doesn't matter cause both shows are good no matter what people say and they still love it

Almost. A Partially sighted Paralympian was on DOI. Chris is the first fully blind contestant to appear on a show like Strictly 🥲👏🏽

It's a good job Chris is a comedian because this is going to be a joke.

No offence at all to Chris, but surely this is a mistake. A blind dancer? I don't understand why he was chosen, other than just to be a gimmick by the BBC who are having enough trouble as it is already. Chris is a lovely man, funny comedian, but I think the BBC are simply using him as a gimmick and I am doubtful it will work. I wait and see, and I will be more than happy to be proved wrong. Just doubtful at this moment.
