What I choose to take from this professional video is the dedication, sacrifices, and discipline, the men and women on the USS Anzio demonstrate everday for our nation. Brooke is proud of her former class-mate, the entire crew, and deeply respects their mission and so do I. I served in the US Army, but still reverence their service on that ship. Brook left CNN and the USS Anzio is on the list for decom. (with China barking?). I say keep Anzio until the rudders fall off. Great video!

Mark Ri is it it really that tough on a ship? On an average, how many ports do you see while being out at sea?
@amitroiu5 жыл бұрын
Depends on the type of deployment, usually there's a restock on the sea... but again, it depends on the mission. In 9 months I have had only 2 ports to stop in for 4 days in each, and that was it.
@michaelorshantelc10165 жыл бұрын
i was on a ship last year also, and when you are away from your family for most of the year every day is hard. Sometimes you can email them and sometimes you better learn how to write a letter. Ports depend on the mission needed. I was luckier than Alex, I got off the ship every 45 days in the 8.5 months. And some ships are even more dangerous then the one shown here. Always have to be on your toes, head on a swivel. Be aware of your surroundings. And try not to worry about those you left behind at home.
