Many many countries in the world has reverted back to its original names. Finns refer to their country Finland as ‘Suomi’, but no-one knows where that name came from, or why, even after centuries of being called Finland, Suomi still survives. India refers their country Bharat and Hindustan along with India and every Indians know where the name Bharat came from. Even in the past few centuries of being called India, Bharat still exists and flourish, and it will eternally continue to do so.

I entirely agree with what Shree Gurumurthy Jisays, every word of it. There are absolutely no legal grounds to question the using the name of 'Bharath' as often and in as many occasions as anybody, the government or the citizens think fit. It is obvious too to all perceptive citizens of our country that Bharatha Varsha is the name of our Motherland since very ancient times, and the government which took over power from the british in 1947 should have officially declared it as the name of our country. Other governments which came later too could have chosen an appropriate time to make the declaration but all of them failed in this relatively simple but most fundamental duty. Now the BJP has chosen to use the name in it's official communication which is correct; that it chose a time to politically counter the opposition parties is perfectly normal as all political parties play politics. The framing of questions by RK is mischievous as he attempts to impute political ideology to Shree Gurumurthy Ji and the manner in which he stated his position in countering the imputations of RK.
