I think respectfully for Sammy it’s going back to the drawing board. In ring ability he’s got it. Could improve to be more elusive and dominant footwork. I think his character more promos on guys, stuff that’s more sleezy. Or find another character Just make more of an impact. Working on intonation or mic skills but I feel like his mic skills are probably his best trait. They just need more volume and this promo HAD IT! Just even more intense. The best way would be the gym. His best trait are mic skills. I think improving the other things would take Guevara to the top.

Man, I'll be honest, once Sammy disappeared from Dynamite for a long long loooong time, I fell out of love with AEW. Sammy literally gives his all, his everything for the company, pulling off moves that others can't, or won't perform. Aside from the 2 minute TNT runs, he consistently gets pushed down the card, placed in a sidekick role, or jobs for old timers. I didn't watch AEW to see the new generation get squashed by WWE mid-carders from 25 years ago. I watched every AEW TV episode, and many PPV over the last 5 years, The two AEW matches that have always stood out to me, were the crazy hardcore match between Britt and Thunder Rosa with suplexes on ladders in the corner, and of course the Cody and Sammy match with the insane cutter from the top spot - that was truly the most jaw dropping spot I have ever seen. I could see Sammy thriving somewhere else similar to Ethan Page. I said to myself I would start watching consistently again when Sammy showed up once more on Dynamite...and IDK, squash match...breaks my heart. Sammy deserves better, he has earned better. Would love to see AEW use Jake Roberts as a writer for one of the shows...he has the history, and I could see him creating longer, better storylines with better payoffs for elite talent like Sammy Guevara. Love you Sammy!

As you know Sammy, being a Dad always comes first, wife second (happy wife, happy life) and then you come third. Even when baby's are sick which is that rough, but like all things in life aren't meant to be easy which gives you great joy. It hardens and strengthens you to make you who you are today, just another chapter in the book of life. Down the road when you look back on that book, you will think to yourself, "man.... those are the things that brought out the greatness in me".
