Socialized healthcare and private institutions. In other words, they're getting paid handsomely with taxpayer funds to make a profit for private companies. I've seen this before.

Teenagers are placed in mental institutions because of the pressures placed on them by society. Teenagers with behavior problems, mental illness and criminal activity are placed in mental institutions in an effort to help them become productive members of society. The teenagers are mistreated by staff and gets punished for minor offenses. They are neglected and humiliated by staff and other inmates, leading to an increase in their behavior problems. It is never acceptable to confine people in order to solve problems. The teenagers need to be treated with compassion and humanity. Unequal society and lack of opportunities is what made them mentally ill in the first place. In such a situation, addressing the underlying social problems would be more effective than imprisoning these teenagers. Providing these young people with the help and support they need to lead more fulfilling lives should be the primary focus of society. By showing compassion and understanding for these young people, society can help them recover from their mental health issues and give them the chance to reach their full potential. Society should not be punishing these young people for their mental health struggles, but instead working to provide the social and economic opportunities they need to succeed in life.

Government shouldn't be involved in mental health treatment. Should be between a patient and their family/friends

Having to deal with difficult issues like mental illness, or just having to deal with people in general (lots of people could probably be mentally ill) and having to worry about the sort of funding constraints they are talking about at the same time sounds like an absolute nightmare.

Oh, it is. I have several disorders, 1 being PTSD which was worsened by a state hosp. that treated patients horribly. I was also lucky as some of the patients there were a support system throughout that hellish place.

@@shaymary5247 all I can do is sincerely apologise for your experience we simply haven't got the time to deal with issues we're just baby sitters. Most Genuin staff are scared to death of being scapgoted so there always parrnoid so when the houses are on fire numptys start arguing amongst themselves about useing hot or cold water. They need to get a team together to deal with the issues 2 manny patients dangusley low staff. Absurdly inaficiant way of doing things. Agency workers get the brunt of the blame. So outside agency companies using umbrella companies are on the fiddel. They need to send in under cover investergators to investergate manigment teams who abuse there powers.Work related Scams where contracted people are burnt out then go of on the sic then are in numbers on work rosters got onion covaridge. People booking months in advance yet canciling shift on the last minute. Weak work ethicals. The weakist links are carried on the backs of Genuin people who want to make a difference are put though hoops for being oneself.

@@shaymary5247 yes but now I suspect there going start reclassify symptoms and say its behavioral issues not mental health. its started to happen where some teenagers smash the units up and staff are not allowed to intervene because there not on section and or the experimental medication's are not working or the big pharma has stopped producing certain meds because of patent issues.this old guy was fine for over 30 years on one type of meds to rapidly deteriating. iv even worked with lawyers in secure units who are very ill mentally. it can happen to anyone. some people get used to the service because they get paid free food and bord so that's also an issue it's a combination of both. ts complicated. theres scamners everywhere in this fucked up country .the English language doesn't help as theres so many deceptiotive words and everything is vague and open to interpretation. cant understand we as support workers cant understand the doctors and the general hospital side haven't got a clue about mental health we have to literally take the patients in full holds to a@e and wait like everyone else in the heat sometimes were on the floor. and people just staring at us its fukjng uneacpecble in this day and age.
