I remember Donnie Shell and he was one of the dudes who hit Earl Campbell and knocked him backwards !! This dude was a missile & Troy Polumalu could 've played with anybody due to his humble attitude and the way he jumped over the line to sack the Quarterback , no one I mean no one has ever done that before,ever !!!! These dudes belong,and as a STEELER fan I am honored !!!

Donnie shell should have been in the hof long ago I remember watching him when I was a kid and I fell in love with steelers and the steel curtain donnie was a hard hitting safety and the hit he put on earl Campbell was awesome people talk about the hit that Steve Atwater put on Christian okoye, nothing compared to donnie shells hit because he took earl Campbell out of the game .

That couldn't have been said during Donnie's career there weren't that many teams way back then. the quote actually is from the great John Facenda, of course, and it is, " there are 29 teams in pro football, and then, there are the Pittsburgh Steelers." said on the Steelers nfl films video at the beginning of the 1979 season.

Donnie Shell now makes it 5 former Steelers in the Hall of Fame from their 1974 Draft class alone(Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Mike Webster, Jack Lambert, and Donnie Shell) That is ridiculous. Talk about a draft haul
@rick5150s4 жыл бұрын
I know! That's crazy right, 5 HoFers in one draft class. Didn't they also get JT Thomas and Randy Grossman that year. D Shell makes it 10 HoF from that team, and there should be more. LC Greenwood should have been inducted a long time ago, and maybe D White also. Another guy that was one of my favourites was Ernie Mills. I love that team, but especially that defense. Getting back to the 1974 draft class.... how does that happen? Strike gold with just about every pick, it's impossible. But when a team is able to pull off a draft like the Steelers did in 74, you end up with the greatest sports team ever

So glad they put Donnie in finally. 51 picks and 4 super bowls he was a hard hitter and great pick off artist. Now if Andy, L.C., and kolb could get their so do rewards!

There has been a buzz so to speak from HOFers saying that it's become too easy, or that lesser players/coaches etc, to get in.For all of the arguments aside. Troy Clearly deserves To be in Canton. He was in every respect, a 'game changer'. Much like Ed Reed, Troy on the field made Offensive coaches have to change plays on the fly just to try and keep the ball as far away from him as possible. But in the end, that was a futile task. JMHO.

Seriously how in the fuck does Troy do all those moves like a tumbling weed in the middle of the Characteristics of a hurricane mixed with a cyclone spiraling then parallel to the ground flying like a jet airliner ...i bet he sings in his head some Indian song to get in that warrior mode but also runs like a mustang and gives that look stare real serious I'm gonna put myself In time out everytime I axe him someting same like coach Tomlin all them franchise coaches ...but even Troy humbles and shows respect to errbody 😆 I love misspelling words on porpoise ... Troy I didn't see you down the Ribfest . ..are you gonna play this year? I'm gonna guess yes but maybe no .respectfully your friend Jenny from Daisytown🤜🤛🥇💛💛💛👁👁🌼🌻💌

Come on men. All gentlemen, all with pockets deep enough. The host's pinstripe suit is fine, but when he turns his back you see that giant gap between stripes from the poor tailoring. Other guys sitting down with their jackets still buttoned. Cowher with the bottom button of his vest secured. Another with street shoes on. Troy without a tie. At least Donnie Shell is in good form.

Cowher is a good coach not great, unfortunately he came from the schottenheimer school of reason. Being a linebacker with the Browns and then being a defensive minded coach, especially with the linebacker core was all fine and great, but his secondary always was the weak link, until Polamalu came along. The secondary improved drastically but this wasn’t until 2004. He lost a lot of AFC championships, the plays he ok’d from the coordinator were hardly creative and predictable. He wouldn’t have a ring if it wasn’t for ROTHLISBERGER and especially that game saving tackle against the Colts in which Bettis fumbled. Both of them would not have a ring if it wasn’t for Big Ben. That team was 6-10, before Ben got there. He wasn’t even going to pick Big Ben in draft, Dan Rooney is the one who told him to, because he was going to pick a offensive lineman. Making the Steelers competitive again he did do, but to have only 1 Super Bowl victory with all the talent that came and went, not good.🖖
