Let's be honest his play to have $20 clothes as Nobel as it may seem will cripple a company. He wasn't shorting himself or the workers so where is the actual profit margin? He knew his worth with adidas and wanted to make GAP put out something that wouldn't be profitable yet extremely popular. Which in turn would have forced them to eventually get bought out by him because he was making a ton of money with Adidas and take over their company and infrastructure. So never judge what he's doing at face value, there is always a darker component.
