yeah, I am fairly sure that being forced to fight and die in a war under incredibly incompetent Jedi leadership already made them victims.

What's worse is that Order 66 didn't turn them into mindless robots; it just made them obey the directive to kill the Jedi. A mindless clone wouldn't try to save his brother being pulled by Maul and you can see that they're still feeling fear as they're fighting Maul and panicking as the hyperdrive fails.
@thomasmalet21422 жыл бұрын
@@georgesmith6218 I don't think the Jedi were so incompetent as leaders of their troops. Jedi have one of the highest education in warfare technics in the galaxy. But I do agree that the fact that they used clones lives so easily made them huge hypocrites. Honestly they really were arrogants, cause if they had just asked themselves the question: "wait what kind of people would agree to create and abuse lives like this?'" maybe they could have realized that the Republic they served was long gone and that the war had twisted their order. Barriss Offee was right.

The final lingering shot on the clone helmet made me break down the first time I watched. It represents everything the Clone Wars created. A galaxy brought to its knees, the clones used as tools then discarded, and Vader reflected in the helmet as the Emperor's ultimate prize. It also represented an end of an era for me. I grew up with the Clone Wars so it was heartbreaking to see it end.

Two things absolutely make these finale episodes outstanding: the overwhelming sense of dread once Ahsoka prepares to depart from Mandalore right up to Order 66. The music and eerie silence is SO POWERFUL, that you heart and butt just tighten up every time, waiting for the hammer to fall. Secondly, the utter tragedy of the lives of the clones, ending in their needless and painful death. They never wanted this, they sacrificed more than anyone, and cannot help themselves while relentlessly firing on their own friends and brothers, trapped in their own heads. Only to die with the Republic they cared so much for in a fiery inferno. At least Ahsoka had the decency to bury them. It gives me tears.

“You were my brother Anakin” was the saddest moment in Star Wars up to this point. Ahsoka and Rex’s friends turning against them and being forced to fight them in order to survive was dark and heartbreaking. Then being forced to bury them is the final shot of emotion. Order 66 is without a doubt the saddest and darkest moment in all of Star Wars.

The scenes of ships in space didn’t look any different in the show and the movie and the scene where Ahsoka is edited into the hologram meeting from ROTS is incredible. I’ve still never just watched the last four episodes on their own.

Can't help but think, at that final moment with the buried helmet, about everything we saw throughout the series and realize that every sacrifice, every good deed, every clone and jedi that died was in the end for nothing. The war was lost since the beginning , everyone was manipulated. The jedi and the republic were buried and forgotten, just like the helmet, then we see Vader leaving through the troopers helmet reflection, the only thing that remains is the empire. Dave Feloni is a genius.
@Thorozak2 жыл бұрын
The somber and depressing end to this show is just so… heartbreaking. All of our friends are gone and nothing will ever be the same. The Jedi we came to love are dead, Padme is dead essentially killed by Anakin. Obi Wan had to fight and kill Anakin, who is actually dead because only Vader remains. The clones we came to love are all dead, or mindless soldiers without their individuality. The galaxy is run by the sith, the tyrant has implemented his own empire. It will stay that way for a while until a New Hope. The Clone Wars series really puts a lot into perspective and deepens, not only my love for Star Wars, but the emotional weight of the series as a whole. I loved it and love it so much.

What's great about the ending scene (yes, I watched your reaction twice) was introducing Vader into Clone Wars shows how everything Anakin had was now lost. Think of his line in Obi-wan Kenobi. "You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker. I did." Everything Anakin did once Darth Sidious "knighted" him as Darth Vader in Revenge of the Sith, every piece of love and caring in Anakin's life has been destroyed. He lost his friendship with Kenobi, Padme died (believing it was at his own hands because that's what Sidious told him) even his padawan, Ahsoka, who he deeply cared for, was on a mission with the Clone Troopers when Order 66 occurred. Finding Ahsoka's lightsaber in the snow leads Vader to believe that another happy piece of his past as Anakin is gone and dead. Everyone around Anakin's life is gone and dead, fueling his anger and hate and destructive power. The ending scene could be before or after the Kenobi series (in year 10 BBY), but it's before Rebels, which takes place starting in 5 BBY (the same year as Andor starts) *BBY - Before the Battle of Yavin, the destruction of the first Death Star in Ep IV: A New Hope)

Rex is able to resist for several seconds, while every other clone we ever see just transitions without thought. My theory on that is it’s because of Fives. Rex realized what was happening as the chip activated and his mind was taken from him which allowed him to react fast enough to resist - no other clone had any understanding of what was happening so they couldn’t react fast enough to resist before the programming had already fully kicked in.

At least in "The Skywalker saga", we saw mace windu and kit fisto battling Palpatine after anakin told the jedi everything about the chancellor being the sith lord, but that was before skyguy decided to help his new master out by cutting off windu's hand. In revenge of the sith (2005 video game version), anakin and obiwan battled on mustafar, but what if vader won? He jumped into the air and obiwan tried to cut his legs off on the high ground, but he missed and the Sith lord killed him, and he kicked him to the exact same spot he would've been left to burn on. There was 8 phase 2 clones and emperor Palpatine waiting for anakin to congratulate him for finishing off the jedi and securing peace and justice throughout the galaxy, and he gave his new apprentice a new lightsaber, so Darth Vader killed the emperor, thus officially ending the clone wars (the right way, this time), and without Skywalker deeming himself as the new emperor, the clones are basically done for, since they need a new leader who would treat the clones the way some of the Jedi treated them, before pong krell, dark side barriss offee, or even count dooku getting killed in the beginning of episode 3 (both movie and in-game).

You've finished the show! Congrats! You now feel the pain that we all felt and have a different view on Order 66, welcome to the club. It's been a blast watching your reactions to this show! What was your favorite story arc? Also, you should totally rewatch Episode III, either with a new re-reaction or just in your own time. You'll have a totally different perspective of all that happens in that film, especially if while watching you think about how this final arc of Clone Wars was taking place at the exact same time. Fun fact: During the scene in Shattered where Mace blows off Ahsoka as a "citizen", the conversation that they are having right before Ahsoka walks in is word for word from Episode III. In the movie, the scene cuts away riiiiiight before Ahsoka walks in to join in the briefing. Of course this was not planned when Episode III was being created, but the brilliant minds behind Clone Wars managed to blend it in so seamlessly. (Additional fun fact: At no point in the show did Anakin and General Grievous ever meet face to face, only during ship to ship encounters. This rule was painstakingly followed so that the seemingly unimportant dialogue exchange between Anakin, Obi, and Grievous at the beginning of Episode III stays true and has no contradictions.)

The problem I have with this episode is that order 66 was meant to imply that the jedi had betrayed the republic and needed to be killed, but at this point Ahsoka ISN'T a jedi, she hasn't been since the end of season 5 (I think?) so the clones would have no reason to think shes part of the jedi's betrayal
