Unboxing the Rex Envoy Stainless Steel Safety Razor by Rex Supply Co. This is my first impressions of this razor along with the features/benefits of the razor.

The Envoy is crafted from marine-grade stainless steel, it feels solid and balanced with its familiar 'Sure-Grip' handle that delivers a firm grip, even when wet.
The Envoy has been engineered to provide a medium-aggressive shave, the equivalent of a “3 setting” on the Rex Ambassador Adjustable Safety Razor. The Envoy will shave slightly closer than the Muhle/Jagger R89 series and the Merkur 34c allowing the user to get a close, smooth shave, normally in two passes regardless of their skin or beard type.
With each pass, the user will notice how the blade glides almost effortlessly, leaving behind a path of groomed, comfortable skin.
The Envoy double edge safety razor is 100% 'Made in the USA' and designed for a lifetime of use. Each razor has its own serial number which is laser etched on the underside of the baseplate. Additionally, each razor is date coded, Rex has adopted the old Gillette dating system (2018 = N, 2019 = O and 2020 = P).

I have the Ambassador version (which I got from yourselves back in June last year) and I absolutely love it. It is a very efficient razor even on its lower numbers (and when I say efficient I do not mean an aggressive or uncomfortable shaver). You can definitely feel the craftsmanship and build quality in it's build when shaving with it, the blade feels like its held very tightly, and there is no blade chatter when shaving with it, which makes it remove the whiskers smoothly, and also without it missing any (it's easier to shave and see what I mean than to try and describe it). The grip as you mentioned Brian is out of this world, its like having velcro on your fingertips and on the razor handle. All in all a phenomenal razor and one that will certainly last a lifetime.

@@troecurov3 I haven’t used the ambassador- but the feather is designed for feather blades and to be honest it’s just simple and high end engineering- I have a thick beard (Persian) and it cuts all my hair down easy. The Japanese are known for their craftsmanship

When you sandwich the blade you don’t push it where it’s sharp. You push it where the in caps are so you will not get cut 1:07

Executive Shaving ...You said it’s £110. It’s priced everywhere I have seen it at $120-125. So, that’s clearly a better deal. I’ve been desiring to get the outstanding adjustable Rex Ambassador. I wasn’t even aware of the Envoy until last week. It seems that both are exactly the same razor. Only difference being the Ambassador is adjustable while this is not. I reckon at half the price, the Envoy with its efficient ‘medium’, albeit fixed setting is the one I’m going to buy. The price is just right, too.
