The AI voices are honestly pretty good for most terrans, and it works well for some of the Protoss too

Elevenlabs AI been a gift, we now can make more memes. Although of all the AI voices I've heard the Presidents, Dagoth Ur, Noble Six, and Joshua Graham have been the best so far. The Raynor one is slightly off, so are the others like the Taldarin and Artanis ones. They don't quite have the right tone for some of the things they're saying.

Man, I sure love these. We must use AI for video games and modding as much as we can. I feel we may no have much time before either the companies put higher and higher pricing, or governments outright ban their usage.

I mean, it's a double-edged sword. Yes, for amateur mods, it's an amazing tool to get semi-professionnal voice acting. Realistically speaking, it's probably the best possible option at one's disposal. But if it becomes something that the studios use themselves because it's cheaper than to pay a real voice actor, then we might stumble into an era where characters in every game sound the same, with little to no emotion on display.

I didn't even know this bonus mission existed until I was older, and I had a blast getting to play through it, most of all with it focused on Stukov. It was great to hear this done with voices and some extra effects, with Raynor being one of the best sounding voices. Is the AI voice mostly made for American accents? It seemed to have a bit more trouble with Stukov's voice, I noticed.

Meanwhile, on StarCraft Alternate: Carolina Davis has made a call to Draliska regarding the return of the Primal Zerg Dehaka courtesy of a rogue Protoss named Nyon (of the Tal'darim). He resurrected the Primal's corpse, then enthralled him as they started to operate on something sinister at Maltair IV. Draliska doesn't see why he was called over for this, since he and Dehaka never crossed paths. Davis then tells him that they've developed an experimental serum that should remove the Protoss hold on him, and open him to negotiations with Zerus now that the Packs that followed Zurvan have been eradicated by Duran. It's not known if the Zerg believe in favors, but with Dehaka currently enthralled, there's no way to find out. Draliska decides he will go on this hunt, but instead of Stukov coming with, he gets Lt. Rose Morales, who will be carrying the serum (there's an extra condition that grants her infinite energy), and Major Kilbourne (uses the Samir Duran unit) as her escort. Once on the ground, Morales makes it clear that she isn't too thrilled with being on this mission with Zerg, or that she's basically about to rescue one, but orders are orders, and she'll make sure as many of the expedition as possible return alive. Along the way, they encounter the following: * A regular Ultralisk with its friend Drone (recruited) (Drone needs to be alive, or the Ultralisk will go berserk) * Tal'darim Reavers unable to build Scarabs for some reason * A rogue Primal "Ultralisk" and "Hydralisk" (recruited) * Two renegade Primal "Hydralisks" (recruited) * Three imprisoned UED Agents (recruited) * A defensive line with Primal Spore Colonies * A Nydus Canal leading to a back entrance with the means to "shut down" the Spore Colonies * A toxic trap past the defensive line * A disgraced Siege Tank operator and three Zerglings (take the form of Primal ones), one of them was from the Feral Guard (represented as a Devouring One), and whom Draliska is familiar with (recruited) * Enthralled Dehaka and Nyon (uses the Artanis unit) After administering the serum and killing Nyon, Dehaka doesn't understand why he's being taken by a Broken Pack, but Morales shuts up any further discussion until they can leave the planet. Everyone skedaddles to an escape route. They find it in the form of a few Primal "Overlords". And with everyone evacced, Davis orders the planet purged. (Bonus scene: Tal'darim Scouts shoot at the Overlord carrying Morales, which is taking far more hits than it should without so much as bleeding. They don't get to understand why before UED forces cover the retreating party and take out the Scouts.)

Much better that they kept this story of infestation cure by nanites than the artifact BS that they devoleped half the way. Looking at the end, it seemed to be the original idea for Kerrigan, but was scrapped. De-infested Stukov should had been in WoL as a member of Raynor's Raiders than appearing from nothing in HotS. Looked like they scrapped this mission, forgot about it, but reused due to lack of ideas.

this is a campaign for Starcraft 64 on the N64, this is the lesser known console port of the original Starcraft, it has no voice acting, but all 6 episodes plus the Stukov missions

Very interesting results, but they require polishing up to suit the cadence of the voice actors. Most of the terrans sound robotic and flat, Artanis sounds flat and too deep especially without his voice effects, and the archon was unintelligible. Only a few like the hero Dragoon voiced by Fenix and the Dark Templar still retained their voice effects and sounded organic in their delivery.
