It's so hard to start the most basic exercise with fibromyalgia. Just washing my hair causes me so much fatigue. The pain is quite irritating and I know the pain is what causes the fatigue to be worse but the exhaustion is so destructive. No matter how much sleep no matter what I do, no matter anything, the fatigue feels like this heavy weight on my body. I feel like I'm wasting away and as if I'm never feel energized or healthy again. It's so frustrating. Especially when there are so many people out there who don't believe it's real. I've spent so much money trying to figure out what was wrong with me and then finally after eliminating so many other things they said fibromyalgia. And I wished it wasn't it, because I want there to be a solution, there to be a cure. And yes it could be worse but I would love to just feel normal again. Also my fibromyalgia, has tons of inflammation in my body. my inflammation blood test always come back extremely high. So, I'm always confused of people say that It doesn't have anything to do with the inflammation. When my blood tests are always extremely high with inflammation. I've been trying to just do slow walking to start with.

Some supported gentle exercise like swimming or taking the dog for a walk but pace yourself and don't overdo it and take meds as needed

Would this also apply to people with lupus? I’m an extremely active woman who has been diagnosed with lupus like 1 month ago. I haven’t stopped exercising since i think it’s beneficial and I like it a lot. My doctor said I should continue to exercise and strength train.

I had similar and after getting medication sorted I had physio for balance problems. At first I couldn't move my leg a few inches to the side without extreme pain, so started with 5 reps of 6 exercises and felt like I'd made a huge achievement. He said in six months when you reach 100 reps, come back and I'll introduce you to more exercises that was 12 years ago. I can now do 100 reps of each but not everyday. If you go too fast it's like a ceiling that comes down instead of rising.
