Great, but does the paint maintain a helmet's original IR signature (or lack of IR signature)?

The IR signature comes from your body. There are certain materials that transmit heat. Ballistic helmets are not one of them (well at least not so much as a ventilated one)

@@PETRAS_ there is thermal signature and then there is IR compliant, he used the wrong term. IR compliant determines if stuff glows under nods, thermal signature is how hot you display under thermal cameras

@@henryliu1046 so wait does the paint retain the helmets ir signature? I’m wondering since I’m trying to touch up my ECH to its original coyote brown color.

@@darthsidious4499 paints are their own thing for ir and wont exactly translate anything from the helmet, this should be fine since its made by team wendy but dont quote me on that. Usually any camo line of paints like the ones by rapco, rustoleum, krylon, etc are good under nods and thermal. Maybe gentex has touch up you can buy thats more accurate, I think thats the current producer for ECH right?

@@henryliu1046 Gentex is the current producer although I can’t find anything on their site or anywhere in general on paint being sold by them but maybe I just haven’t looked hard enough lol.
