Hi friends, just wanted to add that any stone/rock I use in the garden, comes from the quarries in Maryland, it’s cheaper that way. Also, the garden hoe is called crafts man wood handle hoe
@DGardn1002 жыл бұрын
I've always known it as an "oscillating hoe" or even more commonly, a "hula hoe".

I know what you are talking about… aches, Tylenol…. A tip: When you leave the bench in the garden bed take the stones in front of the bench away and put them on the side leading to the bench, like a short walkway to the bench. I hope you understand what I mean. I think it would look very nice. Love all your energy and your ideas. You go girl!

That's what I was thinking! Or create a deeper curve between the Obelisks, rock border behind bench. I commend you, I hard scaped and landscaped my entire yard alone and still going at it, 20 years later. Added a paver patio, new walkways to get rid of grass, and a pondless waterfall to be completed this Spring.
@carolynmangipudi98982 жыл бұрын
I agree...on all. The aches, the burning & aching muscles everywhere. .I think the shift of border rock leading to the bench would look nice. I like the rock border as is, but I personally would try it for visual. If I didn't like it put it back. I get the walkway vision & may be why it would stay as is. I can't wait to see this at the end. Thank k you for another great video

Again, Beautiful! It takes time, blood, sweat, tears tylenol and money! I'm still transforming my yard, but it's so worth it I agree! Interesting to see you use the hoe for larger weeds, I've been using something similar but just scraping it over the surface to catch newly germinated annual weeds. But I'll try it for the more stubborn ones now I've seen you do it.

Your new garden area will look beautiful when it's done. My husband and I did the same back-breaking work last year, when we moved soil, compost, drainage rock, mulch, pea gravel, and landscape stone to the back of our yard. (I love rocks too!! We made many trips to the quarry years ago when you couldn't get rocks anywhere else.) My advice would be to be sure to take care of yourself on this journey. I thought at one point I had really hurt myself because I pushed myself too hard, and I realized it wasn't worth sacrificing my health and ending up in the hospital!! I paced myself more carefully after that. Your garden designs are so beautiful, and the bench really adds a nice touch with the obelisks in the background. A few steppingstones to the bench would be nice too! 🌼🌼🌻🌻

I know your pain. I’m 68 & made another garden bed & this time even dug up the grass before I laid cardboard. My husband doesn’t help at all. In the middle of this new project, I stood there & wondered why do I always cause myself unnecessary work? Do I really need the extra garden bed? No, I don’t…lol… but it will sure look good once I finish!) Seems like when you own a home, there is always a project we can come up with. Right? I love the rocks for your border. It really is coming together. The bench is in a great location & what a great deal! I have one in a garden area, as well. I used a couple of old fence panels (dog ears) to place under the legs to keep it from sinking & covered that with mulch. Keep going girl! You are building paradise!😊
