I bought one of these this past October.. The Launch Edition is EXTREMELY rare. Only 100 of them were built and originally could only be ordered through the Neiman Marcus catalog. It sold out in less than an hour! I'm absolutely shocked they're selling such a rare and historically significant model at this price. It is the only Launch Edition other than mine that I've seen still in drivable condition and I've been monitoring nationwide listings since September 2019! I love mine and am trying hard to preserve it. Amazing car to drive or be a very pampered passenger in! Great video!

That was a great review! Don't worry about forgetting the record button, that happens sometimes. This is a really amazing car, as it was the first V8 hybrid and a very expensive Lexus. I only spotted one or two of these on the road in the past year. I noticed the driver monitoring sensor thingy atop the steering column. That's pretty cool-I don't think it was the world's first system but definitely a first for Lexus. It's nice to hear that the CVT and steering are more responsive than an LS460 of the same year, too. Again, this is great content!

I own one just like this but in right hand drive. They definitely aren't cheap to own but the experience is completely worth the cost of ownership. The powertrain is like nothing else ever built and will probably never be replicated again, and the cabin is almost faultless (notwithstanding a bit of wind noise I can't seem to get rid of). I do all my own repairs and maintenance and even so the cost of parts alone is usually more than the cost of parts and labour for your average sedan. Still planning on keeping this car forever though, there's just nothing else like it.
@nassimnassim60194 жыл бұрын
I heard the wind noise come from the two mirror outside, its their casings design that is flawed, i heard you can remove it by swaping their casings witth the 2013 one or so

No need to apologize, the voiceover was quality work! I wonder how long the battery will last. We have a 2017 L CPO with 62k, air ride and it’s great, but I wish the arm rests had more padding, buttons were better quality and the tech was better (for $99k new, no Apple CarPlay?). I am watching very closely the 2021 G80, there’s a lot I miss of our Stinger GT2 and that G80 will be like a luxury Stinger! I should keep the LS 3 more years with unlimited mileage warranty, but we’ll see! 😆

I appreciate that my friend glad you enjoyed. You got an awesome ride right there haha one of the greatest modern day Lexus cars and luxury cars in general you can buy. New G80 should be great I'm missing the V8 but oh well tech and luxury will be immense for sure. Thanks again for watching
@paulandrebeccak56804 жыл бұрын
Exhaust Sports Auto yeah, the V8 is pretty sweet and sometimes I rev it (no rev limiter) because the sound is so great! It’s a sound that won’t be around in another 10+ years. Thank goodness for CPO because the first guy can absorb $50k in depreciation; usually I am that guy, but I can’t afford to play that game in the almost 6 figures new territory! The stinger’s radar cruise was superior to the LS, that’s disappointing. But as you know, the Stinger wasn’t perfect either, no car is. But it’s fun (albeit very expensive) to try to find one that is! Thanks Kevin for the entertainment and for showing us the entire LS lineup, especially when we are on lockdown!

Bragging rights at the Club? Sure, an air suspension tower will cost me $3+k from Japan, Lexus UK parts are priced for silly millionaires. And I’ll have had a ton of fun before the Corona gets me. As will the grandkids as they’ll have played with the rear-seat pack: marvellous memories for them when they get to 75 and are only permitted to ride in soul-less robot taxis. Don’t get me wrong, a small Honda is a fun piece of reliable efficient engineering.

Interesting, your review model doesn't have the executive package with rear ottoman and tray. So that's not the top trim LS600h. If I was gonna spend money on a 600h, it would have to have a Shiatsu massager & foot extender. I have to give the LS 500 props for the EXECUTIVE PACKAGE WITH KIRIKO GLASS. That being said this car is more than 99% of what the population doesn't need. I would be rather have a top trim ES 300H ultra luxury or MKZ black label since they focus just as much on luxury, with a focus on the driver rather than all on the rear passenger. The lincoln has massaging front seats & plays calming music just like a flag ship lol

Hey I keep hearing u say there's an on center deadness in the earlier models and it went away in the 2013 but sorry if I sound stupid but I don't get what u mean I've been trying to figure out what ur saying so I'm like fuck it I'll just ask u lol I want to see if I notice it in mine?
@MeynMotorGroup4 жыл бұрын
Oh you're good I'm so sorry for not explaining properly. Yea all I mean by that is when you're kind of driving straight say on a highway and you dart the steering around a bit like some quick turns but the car doesnt move in either direction. All it means is you need to turn the wheel more to make the car turn so that's what I mean by center deadness you can wiggle but car wont move lol. Usually the bigger wheels you put on a car you can make the steering react better however bigger wheels of course make your car ride worse so that's the trade off hopefully that makes sense please let me know if I need to explain it better
@caseyh11134 жыл бұрын
@@MeynMotorGroup o ok that makes sense, I've experienced that in big vans and trucks, I drive them for a living. Hmmm I never noticed one bit in my 07 ls460,I mean how many different ls460 have u driven? Is it possible that it may have been an issue for the specific vehicle u were driving and not something ever 07 to 2012 had? I'm gonna go test mine right now, I've never noticed and thought it turned precisely and super tight ,I move wheel an inch in anyway and it moves instantly, but I will do an actually test looking for it, I'm just surprised to hear that cause I'm very picky with how stuff is and I no that would bug the hell out of me and I haven't noticed so I feel like its not happening going to go test right now I'll let you no.

@@caseyh1113 So yea I only owned and drove my 08 460 the only other 460 I drove was the newer 2013 model. This 600 however is the same year as the 460 and the same car other than the drivetrain and it did not have the same issues I had with the steering. The key difference with this 600 vs the 460 I owned was the 19 inch wheels this 600 had, my 460 had 18 inch wheels. Does your 460 have 19 inch wheels?

@@MeynMotorGroup good morning bro no I have the chrome 18 on mine and I did a big test and u are mistaken on that year having that problem I believe its specifically the car u were driving, I wanted to clarify cause it's a big deal to me if it's an all around problem on stock ls460 from 07 to 12 but, my neibor also has one and he let me test his aswell it's same 18 inch model and no issue there either. I did all this yesterday was bugging me bad lol

Just a glorified Toyota camry with all the bells and whistles with a L on the front grill. It's never a great investment brand new. Absolutely no resale value. It's probably worth 25K in 2020 preowned. Maintenance is a bitch for these LEXUS lux hybrids. Be prepared to spend. My buddy sold his 2013 for 35K and he was happy to get rid of it. He took a loss but he didn't mind at all. He just wanted it gone. What a nightmare to owned. Don't let the luxury details fool you. You really don't use it that much unless you are always the passenger on the right side where you can just lounge back and enjoy the ride. As the driver you are just driving an electric glorified car. Good luck for folks who wants to owned one of these. You better of buying a S series Mercedes Benz more bang for your buck.
