I've had two RC 350's for the past few years. First a white one then after I had a black one. I absolutely loved them both they turned heads and felt great to drive. I'm turning a new page and picking up an LC 500 this weekend and I couldn't be any more excited to drive a Naturally aspirated V8 upgrading from a V6. Ever since the LFA I have always been a Lexus fan boy

They truly are scarce. I bought my ‘23 RC 350 F Sport last month in LA. Of all of the Lexus dealers in the city, each one only had two. I was lucky to even snag one.

1000% agree with you on transcending the specs. I have a 2020 RCF and love it more than life. Amazing machine. I could care less if an M4 is faster on paper. The way it makes you 'feel' beats a money pit/plastic fantastic BMW that will last 2-3 years before spending a fortune on maintenance.

@@devongee1776 drivetrains aren't really the biggest concern it's really all of the electronics in modern vehicles and the cost of actuators that cripple used owners whereas the RC F for what it is seems pretty solid has the least amount of documented issues I've seen for a performance car of its caliber

@@devongee1776 The engine may be solid but all the heat from the turbo(s) takes a toll on the plastic components under the hood and will lead to a lot of little leaks, etc. They are great for a few years I'm sure but after that....

I guess it’s a car enthusiast thing. Lexus is a great brand. I have the 2022 Lexus rc350. Got it brand new off the showroom floor. I don’t race though. Not into that so horsepower doesn’t mean much to me. It drives buttermilk smooth and the interior is like a slice of heaven. I could drive it everyday but I don’t. I mostly went for the v6 engine the infrared color and the toasted Carmel and black interior. I love mine.

I agree, it is human nature it seems to care about 0-60 when on the street it really means nothing. You would think everyone races each other at every street light, haha. In 2003 I bought a brand new 03 z06 brand new the 2nd quickest north american car to the viper at the time and it meant nothing as you can only do the speed limit and I guess it is just for bragging rights. I plan on buying a 2025 rc 350.

It’s so funny you said you got A z06 because i just traded my beloved rc350 in for a corvette c8 stingray for Christmas. lol So now I have the c8 and my X6 Beamer that I also love dearly. My sister got a corvette back in summer and I fell in love with it. Had to have one. I still don’t drive super fast in it but Its all black and looks like a bat mobile on the highway. I love it. It’s the same scenario I will not be taking it to a track. It Looks and drives amazing. I loved my Lexus but the c8 is an amazing sports car so much fun to drive I don’t think I’ll miss my rc that much. I still think it’s an amazing car. If you do get the rc350 enjoy it!

@@MeynMotorGroup thanks Kevin really appreciate that. I have to briefly say that the Palomino interior of the NX drastically dresses up the interior versus other trims and colors. Since the NX lacked some color aesthetics especially in the passenger area, this palomino roof liner adds a beautiful character that the other interior colors lack with their dark roofliners. I could have given up and settled for the colors that were always available, but I must say that the wait was worth it. 😊 Now. I just have a lot of learning to do

Just bought a 2025 rc350 rwd 8 miles on the dash in the show room 59k they had an is350 but wanted more because they’re more practical and more sought after in my area and a used 22 rcf 6k miles and they wanted 66k with a much higher monthly payment and wanted more down got the rc 350 love it no complaints traded in my 2019 is350 rwd truly great cars more than enough fun and luxury Lexus didn’t miss

I love my 2015 Rc350 Fsport its a RWD, man, this car is night and day amazing yes it isn't the fastest car however, it isn't about that its a well rounded car. RC 350 is quick, nimble, and smooth. I plan on paying it off soon and keeping it for 10yrs plus no joke I love it. Got mine with 2.4% APR at $34,000 it only had 40k miles.

I got it at CarMax for $31,998 with tax out the door it was 34. its basically worth 30k at the moment with 61k miles. Pre pandemic they were going for 25-27k with 40k miles@@MeynMotorGroup

2009 IS 250 AWD owner with F-sport parts installed and Lexus Performance driving school attendee speaking, my main problem is the availability of cars is unbelievable, I contacted Lexus corporate in Texas and they were saying they can't do custom orders which is mind bending that a company who invented "JUST IN TIME MANUFACTURING" who has soul stirring cars can't make you a car with personalized options. Also, what I would have asked for is transmission cooler on LC500, and forged engine internals which they can make with help of YAMAHA and ask them to explain the car , because the cars actually have no comparison. People will cry when they realize the spectacle that is lexus lineup with naturally aspirated engines.

To be honest i work in lexus and I drive the cars around there is a difference between the is350 and the rc 350 I have nothing against you or anything . they might share the same engine but the drive feel is different where in Is350 is very sporty the seat especially the bolster is way tighter and the steering wheel feel is a stiffer than the rc 350. even the engine noise the without the active sound control with the is 350 has a tone where it can feel and sound like a sport car even thought its not truly a sport car while for the rc 350 I feel it has a perfect balance of both comfort and sport the chair is not as bolster as the is 350 it has a perfect balance steering wheel has a balance of sporty and comfort where its not hard on the wrist. engine noise however I feel is350 is better . but in my opinion Rc 350 is a luxury coupe and it really met the balance of comfort and sporty. while is350 I would say its a sporty compact sedan which is more sporty than the rc350 but by no means it gave up the comfort. i also own rc 350 RWD 2023 I bought it uses like 300km and was able to get a good deal :)

I had an Is350 awd and now an Rc350 rwd. I think the Rc looks alot better. The Is350 was like .1 or .2 faster in the quarter mile. I attribute that to being able to launch the awd better. But I'm Happier with the Rc350 and having options like orange brembo calipers is a huge plus.

Hey my friend thanks so much for taking the time to break down your indepth driving impressions, very valuable info! I def agree that there are certainly nuanced differences between the IS, RC, & previous GS. The demeanor of the 3 cars is similar but I'm please you picked up on and explained in great detail the subtleties which the average person may not pick up on or understand so for simplicity I just lump the 3 together. Out of the bunch the LC has the greatest shift in character despite using the same engine as the other F cars it completely escapes the toned down nature of the other 3 as it should for the price. I definitely like the look of the RC. This may sound petty, but 2 things bug me about the IS. The rear bar that connects left and right lites. They remind me of the Kia K5 and I think the Camry. For at the price Lexus is asking, it should not look like a $30K vehicle. I wish the IS had the RC lites. The other thing, as far as I can tell the side mirrors do not fold in mechanically - which I think is same as the RC. I have a small garage and need power mirrors.

Its like any brand. You gotta go with their bread and butter models. IS, ES LS. Unless you absolutely love coupes or cross overs. They seem to be hard sales. But hey thats a bargain tool for the consumer. Knowledge is power and this video helps bring some much needed knowledge into the car market. Love the insight!

I still love the look of these! Would’ve been nice to see what the “refreshed” IS design language would look like on the RC too tho. Could’ve just renamed the RC-F the RC500 and kept it around a couple more years. I do kinda understand why some people would prefer the RC over the IS because they want a “Radical Coupe” lol, they love the looks of the RC, RC’s are less common than the IS & the RC has the GS front end (XE20) IS Convertible midsection and rear suspension from the (XE30) IS. Not to mention that the RC will probably be a collector one day

The RC 350 is a fun car to drive. I also found it to be a more pleasant place to be in (despite the cd player) than the Europeans. Intangibles, it was comfortable. I can’t explain it. Also, it will definitely lose the rear, which was pleasantly surprising.

The RC is basically over. It was killed by bad internet buzz. As the peoples started to see it's quality, it was way late in the car's existence and it was already older than the german, that where extremely offensive in the market. The germans had great numbers to offer to their customers, what the RC and RCF couldn't. And so we are slowly coming to the end of the era of this car, as a RC/LF-successor seem to be around the corner. But I don't know if you saw it... the prices of the RCF aren't going down. It's a giant indiciator. Something was made right, and there are pepoles out there that awaiting them.

We don’t get the IS or the RC in Australia anymore. I think both were stopped in about 2021. They don’t conform to our new side impact safety regulations. Can still buy an older one though. They don’t conform but the conforming issue is only for new car sales. A shame because both the IS and RC are beautiful.

Wow I’m glad they’re taking safety really seriously. Here these vehicles are an IIHS top safety pick however, they upped the speed on the side test and have not retested the IS or the RC in the states, I’m assuming they would not fair as well in the updated side test. But yes, the other issue is low demand since it’s almost impossible for the average consumer to be sold on “feeling” and “driving connection.” A new buyer might be coming from a 400 year old clapped vehicle they are not going to understand such things and only understand on paper specs so they will buy Euro cars.

New IS 500 might just be one of the best values in the current new car market with everything it has to offer. If you can go on CarGurus and find an IS 500 that’s been sitting on a lot for a long time and negotiate like $3k off, that’s about as good as you can get in this market

Love these cars but let's face it, a new generation of IS/RC is long overdue. Rumors suggest an EV is on the way, but imo Lexus should offer them with ICE or hybrid in addition to the BEV.

Yea I'm not sure exactly what they're going to do next I believe they will roll out a full EV line up for sure but I'm thinking maybe they will have a couple ICE Hybrid models to offer as well? We'll have to wait and see but of course we know the industry is going full EV soon

I'm looking for a used RC 350 F sport, RWD, 2015 and newer with under 100k miles. Would you recommend it, and what would be a fair price? It has not been easy to find one from a private seller. I'm considering going the CarMax route, but I understand they are a bit overpriced. I do like their 30-day refund policy. It would give me enough time to take it to a mechanic and do a complete look over in a shop. I would not be able to do that with a private seller. I typically check a particular Lexus's service history to get a sense of how well the previous owners have taken care of the vechicle. It's a challenge when there are gaps in the service history. I would feel more at ease having a professional evaluate a used vehicle, scan for any error codes, and point out previous repair work. Spending $30,000+ for an almost decade old used car is no small change. I also thought about getting a new Toyota GR86, but the engine failure on some vehicles scares me away. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts! Thanks.
