Yes, I was so pleased to be able to finally solve a day straightforwardly - although that's mostly referring to the other two advent calendars I'm doing, that have been taking up a lot of my time, and not so much this one!

This puzzle was so much fun my favorite of the first 3 rooms as it was so creative. I got hung up for a bit at first though thinking the 1 looked a lot like a 7 but I see a few others had the same problem. Glad it was an easy fix though

Sew unlucky! Hope you had some string to hand, and I think it sounds like Exit need to start weighing their calendars after packaging to make sure nothing is missing (like LEGO do).

I ended up having to use ask the hints today all because I read the 1 as a 7.

Ah that's a shame - but a perfectly reasonable interpretation too. Yes, I dismissed that because I knew it was originally German and probably uses continental 1s and 7s, but it's definitely confusing! It would have helped to clearly show a 1 or 7 on this day to help disambiguate. This is especially problematic since you need to use that '1' twice, obfuscating what's wrong.

It does! I think it really helps to know it is originally a German calendar and so will tend to use continental 1s and 7s, with overarching 1s and crossed 7s. Perhaps they should have found an excuse to write some numbers in the room in the English version, so they could be clear what their digits looked like.

@@drgareth That was probably the best possible representation of a 1 with that puzzle, and I would have guessed that it is a 1 before guessing it as 7. Still, there may be too much guessing involved without a table like the one you described :)
