I have had a innate awareness since I was a child. I was always referred to as being quiet or shy. I questioned why basic life skills , necessary for daily living were not taught in school. Why were we required to go to this formal environment to be taught memorization of all these events. Education, Medical, and even Legal demographics and anyone who questions this awareness - is often bullied or isolated.

I adore what Charles promotes, which basically is digging inside and find your own answers to your call, whatever it is. But, not falling for cheap, fearmonger rhetoric that will enslave you and block you of meaningful connections. These are though times for all of us and the only way out is to connect with ourselves and because we are part of the "One", we will connect to all. Thank you for your wisdom!

In south Texas in 1944, when four years old, I rode along with my grandfather when he brought the Mexican maid home after her day's work. He stopped in front of a weeded lot with an unpainted shack at the back that, to my Kansas farm kid's mind, was an old chicken house. I was stunned. I asked my grandfather "But where is her house, where is her house ? !!" He gave me an irritated look and said nothing. That is when I realized THEY DON'T SHARE. I knew he was a decent and respected man So I never trusted the system again. Child in a land of war.

Interbeing. Thank you for that beautiful concept. To live in the interstices, not the points. The relationships, not the selfs. This is healing for our era of extreme individualism. Yet it is only from within the depths of each solitary individual that relationship can have meaning. We are more than robots working together on a factory floor.

the old story never felt true. As a child and young teen, without realizing it or having any vocabulary for what was happening, I gravitated away from typical ways of interacting with the world. Its just a natural progression when you let your innate curiosity flow. Excited to continue to open myself up enough so the lessons and new ideas which bring me closer to my center, my truth are understood as we see the world from different angles. Day by day, bit by bit; rediscovering and finding the verbiage/ way of interacting with the world which feels more true than what it felt like yesterday :)

2:05 - There's still a third option, and it's the one I took. To just endure, until you can rise above those people. First of all they dialed down the bullying after a year or two - I think they just got older and more interested in other things (like girls). From there on out I didn't have that much trouble with them. But I still had no interest in them. I was certainly not "on their side." I just went on, and a few years later I graduated and there was no looking back. I couldn't tell you what's going on in the life of a single one of those people now - I couldn't care less. I have my life, that I built, with my family and my interests. Childhood boogymen don't matter any more. And the not caring what other thought stuck. I study, I learn, I grow as best I can. My family seems to appreciate me. My employer appreciates me enough to keep me around. And other than that, it doesn't matter. I don't care what "society" thinks of me. I control my own thoughts and make my own decisions and have my own values. Others can like it , or lump - end of story. So, that's what my response to childhood bullying was. I just put up with it until I didn't have to any more, and I didn't let it break me. And now life is great.

Love your soulful approach to looking for a healthier narrative! Big fan! The other reason listing your accomplishments to critics is not healthy is because it is letting them put you on the defensive. That is us trying to get someone else to see our value so we can feel better. You obviously don't need that because your faith and trust in your own power and inner authority/authenticity is strong enough to know better. Well done. Disempowerment looks like: defensiveness, violence and aggression, dominance and control. People who are empowered don't have a need for those things which means that the weak (disempowered) are the ones perpetrating all the challenging aspects in the world and running things. When people wake up and empower themselves they have no neurotic, fearful, anxious need to control, and armor themselves. So yes-- getting defensive means They have sucked us into their narrative which is that we have no value and need to prove ourselves. Let's hear it for staying in our own movies. Thanks for your inspirational speeches and for getting real dialogue going about what matters.

To get to our new story, we need to share our individual stories, and we can do that effectively by describing our own experiences with the 4 basic relationships we have with one another: 1st Person Output + 2nd Person Input: "What people, places, and things have improved your life the most?" 1st Person Input + 2nd Person Input: "How have you failed to take good care of the precious things in your life?" 1st Person Input + 2nd Person Output: "What do you most want to create and/or explore in the future?" 1st Person Output + 2nd Person Output: "What resources do you most need to make that happen?"
