Chen is one of the best vocalist in Kpop along with Baekhyun and D.O. This trio is mind blowingly vocally talented. Honestly every single day I’m surprised by EXO’s vocals even though I listen to their songs everyday it feels like I’m listening for the first time that’s why I’m so obsessed with EXO coz it never gets old and boring unlike other group and their songs. And back to Jongdae he’s such a kind person like all EXO members said I don’t even think it’s possible for a person to be that kind. He’s also a jolly person always laughing and loud. He also loves his members a lot. He has insane vocals and is regarded as of the top best vocalist. He’s also the bravest Idol for coming out on his marriage and pregnancy even though it’s a very sensitive topic and I respect him a lot coz he took responsibility like a true gentlemen he is. Such an amazing person overall. I love him and miss him so much. Can’t wait for Chen, Baek, Suho and channie’s discharge.

Vocals +Visuals + personality + decent dancer + Lyricst = great artist & perfect package idol . I love how you said he is pretty ,gorgeous ,handsome all. I have been fan of him for nearly 2 years believe me I still find so many minute yet attractive things about him even though we have no update at all, he is someone so rare to find in every aspect . This video mainly shows his high notes but his strongest register is lower one,he is very skilled in emotional delivery specially his solos and osts shows it a lot.At 20.00 its king of masked singer a competition where various artists singers actors come their face is not revealed and they get selected with rounds ,only few male idols won it . One is Super Junior Kyuhyun ,probably the best kpop idol singer now, Chen became a finalist ,its the show that many of korean public understood his vocal talents . They were shocked . He is one of the idols that broke prejudice towards idol singers . He is the most praised sololist in Korea. His digital index are lot higher. His songs has highest number of unique listeners . Well after marriage songs didnt well charted much with extreme cyberbullying and extreme hate.

I love Chen so much. You could be neutral about him, I suppose, but if you dislike him in any way you must be dead inside. People prefer different voices-for me, BBH’s is my favorite-but in my opinion, based on technique, range, stability, and power alone, Chen is one of the absolute finest vocalists in the business.

In The Heights is originally a Broadway play that was adapted into a U.S. movie recently. What Chen was an actor in was the Korean version of the play. Many American musicals and plays are adapted for Korean audiences and performed just like the Broadway versions but in Korean. Same as if you saw a play in France for instance, it would probably be the French adaptation of the Broadway musical or in Italy it would be in italian, etc. (For example, Onew, Key and, I think Taemin, have all starred in the Korean version of Singing In the Rain the Musical.) LOL, as I just mentioned in your NCT-127 "Back To You" reaction: You will understand the word wae more clearly once you get to know Chen. LOL Because Chen is famous for being whiny and what he is well known for yelling while whining is "Wae!!!" -- as in WHY!!!! -- as he whines about why someone said that, or why he has to do something, etc. Hehehe. What a coincidence that you posted your reaction to Chen's guide right after I posted that comment. ;p They requested the dance practice for "The Eve" because it's a b-side track, so there is only a dance practice and live performances. There's a reason why people want you to see that dance practice. LOL Chen is currently enlisted in the military, same as Baekhyun and Suho. Chen will be discharged in the spring next year. And that is why SM is known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry, because all their artists are amazing singers.

I have the softest spot in my heart for Jongdae. His vocals are stellar. His voice is so distinct. I could recognize him anywhere. I get teary eyed listening to him sing. Seriously. His album April and a Flower is one of my all time favorites. He’s talented, amazing, and a sweetheart. I’m glad you’re on this journey and that we can be here too. I love Chen’s voice, it’s so powerful and at the same time he can be so gentle! He’s one of my favorite vocalist in kpop, I like powerhouses and Mr. Chen it’s definitely one!!!! Plus he’s very sweet and caring, wish some of the “fans” that mistreated him when he got married showed the same devotion he has for them, but that goes to show the kind of person he is! Check out his song before enlisting called “Hello”, took me a few tries before I could watch the video without bawling 😭…. He really loves his fans and we adore him!!!!!

Yes, the musical is the same! it’s from Lin Manuel’s 2010 In The Heights Musical (the movie you referred to was just an adaptation). Same here in the Philippines, a local theatre group bought the rights for it so we have our version like how they have theirs in South Korea.

Chen is my bias in Exo and don't get me wrong I love all the boys but there's just something extra sweet about Chen that even when he sings, his voice alone pulls my attention towards him :) Chen, suho and chanyeol are discharging next year from the military. Do and Xiumin are already finished so now it's only Kai and Sehun who haven't gone, they at least need to serve for 2 years since it's a mandatory rule in SK to serve before your hit 30.and lay doesn't need to serve since his Chinese.

EXO is all 9 vocalist that complements each other as a group, I haven’t heard any Kpop group that does harmonising as good as EXO. They will always be together. It’s an unbreakable bond. Chen particularly is the one of the best Kpop vocalist. He’s living his dream and will support him and EXO 💯 %. Thank you for the reaction and showing love for these talented men. Yes, the musical is the same Lin Manuel Miranda did several years ago. There’s a movie version on the Disney streaming channel now. I believe it won a Tony award. When I saw that I thought what would Miranda think, his musical about Washington Heights being done in Korean? Probably very proud & happy.
