@@ABtheKreator just to note there are 2 versions of What is LOVE. A lot of people regularly forget to mention that sadly... 👀 Korean version from EXO K subgroup and Chinese from EXO M subgroup. Different singers. Both are official versions and equal. EXO K is sung by Baekhyun and DO. EXO M is sung by Chen and Luhan. Since each singer has a unique voice and strengths I think listening to both is important and interesting as the song is mainly a tool to show of their talent. It shows you their level in pre debut days. Nowadays we have 3 main vocals Chen Baekhyun and DO.

So the concept is a boy being overdosed on love, but for the concept, Exo members are señera red in a maze from each other and lost and even when Kai “escapes” the middle really doesn’t have an opening so it’s a never ending cycle. Some fans believe that Red Force (their enemies) are watching them in there, which is proven in Lucky One mv (definitely watch that next)

Hi, actually EXO is a super power that is interrelated from one member to another. in each MV K (6 Members) and MV M (6 Members) it is very clear that each member is related to each other. And then, the driving force is Kai. That's why at the beginning of the video, Kai approached every member of EXO K to activate their powers and contacted Luhan (EXO M White shirt with bubbles) to connect to EXO M (Because EXO K and EXO M landed on two different planets/worlds). Only then can EXO members activate their powers. example: EXO K - EXO M 1. Kai (Teleportation) - Luhan (Telekinesis) 2. Chanyeol (Phoenix/Flame/Fire) - Kris (Dragon/Flight) = Both wear Phoenix or Dragon rings. 3. Suho (Water) - Xiumin (Frost) = Water sent from Suho thrown into the mirror makes Xiumin's face appear. 4. Sehun (Wind) - Tao (Time Controller) = The butterfly from Tao arrived at Sehun. 5. Baekhyun (Light) - Lay (Healing/Unicorn)=Baekhyun sends light to the mirror and Lay receives it. 6. DO (Force/Earth) - Chen (Lighting/Thunder)=There was DO suddenly there was thunder (Chen). That's EXO, there are 2 worlds, that's why there is an up and down world (mirroring) and they are looking for each other. I also recommend watching EXO M's version because the two MVs (EXO K and EXO M) are related. And the tree of life is their source of strength. And because the tree of life was almost destroyed by the red power, the enemy of EXO. And the emergence of the dark side of EXO, namely X-EXO who is really wild and sexy makes EXO even more complicated and dizzy. It is EXO's enemy that is X-ĖXØ and its catchphrase is EXOonearewe. ¿ #OBSESSION #EXOonearewe #EXODEUX ? Why EXODEUX? It means DEUX in French is TWO, EXO is TWO. In Obsession's MV, everything is clear and starts from LUCKY ONE's MV. ^o^ thanks.

They used to practice singing while running on a treadmills, they always sing live, don't use auto tune...there's this one incident in Music Bank in Mexico, the music stopped but they continued singing live and EXOLS sang with them...they're the idols idol, a lot of the idol groups were covering their songs and there's a lot of Kai wannabes...

When they debuted back in 2012, there were 12 members divided into 2 groups of 6 named EXO-K and EXO-M. 3 Chinese members left the group in 2014 and 2015. Since then, they are EXO comprised of 9 members. One Chinese member, Lay, cannot perform with the group because he has become a prominent figure in China. With all the rift going on with China and Korea, Lay chose to take a leave of absence from the group since 2017 or 2018 (Not really sure exactly of the year). And with Korea's mandatory military service of all Korean men, they take turns in enlisting before they turn 28 (International age). But EXO members are strong vocalists so they can still perform and make a comeback even if they are incomplete. They also have a back story since debut. You have to watch MAMA to get to the bottom of it. It's their debut song. Thank you 😅

In EXO's "Overdose" MV what you saw is that the members have been trapped in a maze by the Red Force and they are trying to use their superpowers to escape the maze. For example, in the Korean version you see Chen throw a beam of light which is an example of them using their powers. Chen has the power to control lightning so he tossed a lightning bolt to Lay who has the power of healing. Lay is the only one who could have caught that light beam without being injured because Lay has the power of healing and he can heal himself. So, the story in the MV is pretty much the members trying to summon their powers to try and escape from the maze.The box that D.O. had at the beginning of the MV was full of dirt. D.O.'s superpower is the power of earth or dirt and it gives him super strength or force, so he was using the sand to build his strength back up. The other members were also trying to use their powers of teleportation, fire, light, etc. In the beginning when you see the EXO-K members making that picture while standing on each other, they are forming their hexagon symbol which is EXO's official symbol. (In the M version, you will notice it's different members.) The different sets you see, are thought to be different rooms within the maze, or maybe alternate realities or time periods created by the Red Force to lure the EXO members to them. Also something to note, you see Kai in the beginning and end of the MV in the Korean version because he is the center and visual of EXO-K. However, in the Mandarin version you will see Luhan fills that same role because he is the center and visual of EXO-M. Plus, Kai and Luhan were each others' power counterparts as well. So this establishes the connection between EXO-K and EXO-M. Kai and Luhan were supposed to have a bond that connected the two groups and made them one as part of EXO's storyline. How EXO worked back when they were split up into the two groups was that all the members were in both MVs, but the K members were featured more prominently in the K version of the song and the M members were featured in the M version. As you saw, in the EXO-K version of "Overdose" the K members sing the main parts of the song and they are the first group of 6 you see. (When you see them revisit the same sets in the MV the group you see is the 6 EXO-M members.) If you watch the Mandarin version, you will see the M members take over the main parts of the song and the K members are the ones you see second. So, even when the MVs look the same, they will always be slightly different because the members are assigned different parts in each MV. For example, in the Korean version, the EXO-K rappers (Chanyeol and Sehun) are the ones that are part of the rap section. If you watch the Mandarin version, you will see Kris, Xiumin and Tao are the rappers because they are EXO-M's rappers. Tao is also the martial artist of the group, so he is the one that does the flips and stunts in EXO's routines. And the main vocal parts and high notes are done by Baekhyun in the Korean version, but in the Mandarin version that part is Chen's because he is EXO-M's main vocalist, etc. At the end of the MV we discover that the maze has only one way in and no way out. Which I think is meant to represent and mirror the fact that they are saying they are trapped by love and once you are in there is no way out. The maze was also EXO's logo for this album and it is shaped like EXO's hexagon symbol. Although, in the song they're not overdosing on anything except love. As the English lines in the song say: "So bad, no one can stop her ... her love, her love (is) fantasy ... Oh she wants me, Oh she's got me ... Oh she hurts me ... someone call the doctor ... (her love makes me) overdose ... too much of your love makes me overdose ... too much overdose ... You're in my heart ... with you I can't stop", etc. This song is kind of a love song about how powerful love can be that it feels like no matter how much you try to resist it you keep getting pulled back in like a drug. However, for the storyline in the MV there might be a little more at play than just being drugged by love. Some theories say that the story in "Overdose" is connected to the story in their "Lucky One" MV. In "Overdose" the members get trapped in the maze and they can't find their way out. The red light represents the Red Force who have trapped them in the maze. It is thought that the maze causes the members to get disoriented and sort of become incapacitated so they are unable to defend themselves. The maze dulls their senses and makes it so they lose the ability to use their powers at full strength, etc. The theory speculates that sometime after the end of the "Overdose" MV, EXO gets captured or transferred from the maze and brought to the government facility by the Red Force and that is why we see them in a hospital-like setting in their "Lucky One" MV. In the story in the "Lucky One" MV the members are drugged and they are being experimented on to discover what makes them so special. In "Lucky One" the members use their powers to break free from the facility. And this is where some theories connect the story in "Lucky One" to the story in their "Ko Ko Bop" MV. One theory is that the story in "Ko Ko Bop" is them trying to detox from the drugs they were given in the government facility in "Lucky One" and the blue Ko Ko Bop drink Suho mixes and the members drink is supposed to counteract the effects of the drugs in their system. That is why they act so out of it and in a drugged state in "Ko Ko Bop." As you can see all of the stories in EXO's MVs are connected. We just have to pay close attention to every detail and put the pieces together. "Overdose" came out in 2014 and this is one of the last MVs where all 12 members are part of the song and MV. (Kris left the group right after this MV was released and Luhan will leave within the next 6 months.) You should watch the Mandarin versions of "Overdose," as well. :D If you watch EXO-M's version of "Overdose" you will understand why we say even though they may seem like they are similar MVs, there are distinct differences between the Korean and Mandarin versions that are important to EXO's storyline. Plus, I think you may even enjoy the Mandarin version of the song just as much, or more.

I am so excited when you said you were going start to finish. Best believe I will be watching every video! EXO storyline is a bit hard to follow at first but they are from EXOPLANET and they have superpowers, they came to earth to help save it, but they are being chased by the Red Force ( the bad guys). You will see each individual superpower in the MAMA video. It keeps things interesting for sure.

In the MV you see the 2 sub groups EXO K & EXO M performing part of the song alone.. So 6 each and then come together as 12. Each early EXO song and MV was recorded twice. Korean version sung by EXO K and Chinese version sung by EXO M. On the albums you actually have each sub group doing all songs alone. So a completely different line up of people sing and rap. I've been watching u discover EXO...And I'm sure you are aware that k pop isn't just one or two groups. It's an entire genre and industry. But what you may not know is how k pop started...it was in the 90's, yep you see that right...the 90's, with a group called Seo Taiji and the Boys. And one of the first companies was SM. Now SM is the company that EXO is with. The head of the company at the time Lee Soo Min, looked to America. Modern day J pop/rock is based off American rock music. And k pop is based off of American Hip Hop/R&B. And he thought about bringing over an American producer to help. That producer was someone you may know. His name is Teddy Riley, yep the co founder and father of "New Jack Swing." And a member of Blackstreet. Teddy was in Korea for several years. Helping not only SM, but a couple other companies and groups, and teaching other Korean producers the in and outs of hip hop. Including Big Bang, and others. If you listen to other artists like Big Bang and listen closely to EXO you can hear his influence. I apologize for such a long post, just thought u might like to know why EXO has hit you differently...or why it seems a little familiar. I hope it helped a little.
