That's so interesting you guys think Channie seems like second in command. I think Baekhyun could be second in command if that were a thing lol There's been many times over the years where he takes up control in practice or performance wise or just coming up with ideas and stuff. That's why I thought he was a great leader for SuperM. He was nuts but by all accounts he was a great 'Captain' as he wanted to be called 😂 I think that's what's going to make him such a great CEO at his InB100 company

Tbh Chanyeol and Baekhyun both could pass for second in command positions. Both are really similar when it comes to their personality traits.

Both Chanyeol and Baekhyun (actually all of them) pay great attention to detail. You can see from Hear Me Out and Cream Soda Dance Practice Behind- Chanyeol, despite not being the best dancer in the group, is very quick to point out misssteps, being off-time, etc. He was also the first of them to put up his own studio and write a lot of his own music and be aggressive in pushing for Sehun to have more lines and really pushing to have the songs they wanted in Exo-Sc albums…

Back in their rookie days Baekhyun was the one who made the efforts to fill up Suho's responsibilities. Most Exo members were shy even Baekhyun but he could see how hard it was for Suho to carry everything himself so he always tried to fill in with Suho to Exo's image to the world in variety shows, interviews and other stuff. Baekhyun is also extremely smart so he had even saved the members from various saesang attacks and even a kidnapping attempt. He's also very cautious about the details in their overall performances and aesthetics as you can see whenever they watch their mvs.

Second in command would be Baekhyun. It seems like the members are looking up to him the most. He is the one who came up with the fandom's other name "eri > eribong". At award shows, Suho & Baekhyun are mainly the ones delivering speeches. And Baekhyun is the member who naturally takes charge and leads the flow of the conversation. well, when suho is away for other schedules and exo does interviews, xiumin used to take over greetings and such. but shoomy is too soft and quiet and just lets his dongsaengs be chaotic 😆

Second in command historically is Baekhyun who is also a leader in his own right as the leader of SuperM. When Suho was in the military, Sehun enjoyed taking over many of the more visible roles such as leading their chant and of course Xiumin is the eldest and leader of CBX. We can't forget that Chanyeol is often the most vocal and Chen is the loudest, nor that Kai is their Centre and was the face of the group before that role became pretty much redundant in a group of such handsomely talented men, so when they first debuted he was often targeted by interviewers. So take your pick. Having said all that, Suho is a wonderful leader and they all support him when they are not teasing him or should that be while.
