Nice rig Bro! I went with the raw finish axles and RAW500 steering servo on my Pro. With some tuning, you’ll fall in love with your Pro...trust me. I’m running Proline Interco TSL G8 4.3” tires with CI dual stage comp-cut foams. Drove like a whole new truck afterward. Reef’s sway bar mounted in the rear will reduce a lot of that TT too. Lastly, those Incision shocks are pretty but you’ll be pulling your hair out soon enough due excessive-seepage issues. Do yourself a favor and swap them out for some TRX-4 GTS shocks with .22-.39 rate springs.(you’ll thank me later) 👍🏽

They are tough!! I’ve been driving mine for a little bit more than two years now ain’t broke nothing ain’t had to fix nothing, but the body is scarred up it’s not Broke. I run the hobby wing system 2300 KV I love it

Been waiting on this video and I'm gonna hold off now. Specifically because if you watch his channel and subscribe you'll see (Hi Joe!) he does tests and builds that most crawlers wouldn't even think of. But this was at minimum a $1000 dollar build that an SCXiii could've done. And I use that example and not his SV2 or a Capra because they would smoke this car. And for those of you saying "What you get for the money..." I have no idea what that means if it can't perform or its purpose isn't fulfilled. Look at the scale Carisma. For the price fit and finish you get a beautiful car. But performance isn't why you buy them. Everyone knows you buy Vanquish for performance parts made in the USA. They're tools are outstanding. But I'd expect an outstanding kit. He could've done better with a Redcat Wendigo kit with those electronics. (Saying that not because it's a crawler, but the stock axles are great sliders because of their shape (like right angle vitavon) and you get a ton of clearance. And it's cheap. Pretty sure a Sendero would've done better. Gonna wait and see what he does before dumping my money all in. Thank you for the honest video.

Yeah man I don’t really expect SV2 level or even SV1 level performance out of this. But I do hope to get a bit more. Also it could be my learning curve to adjust to the truck as it’s way heavier than the ones I’ve built lately.

I keep my black axles touched up with Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black, if the scrapes bother you too much. I know many initially thought that this was supposed to be a top contender for rock/trail crawling, I never seen it advertised as such, it is however, top shelf for parts. No upgrades really required, I did have to replace my leaky shocks though.

True, and this is meant for me as a C1 Truck so I don't expect it to run like Optimus 3 or SV1 or SV2, it just wont do that. Great parts like you said.

The chassis is set up for a sway bar already. Irun sway bars on mine with some 100 wight oil for the shocks. Its awesome

A couple guys in the area have a Vanquish VS410s, and you can always tell when they roll off an obstacle; because their trucks make the loudest thunk when landing. I think for the machine work they are worth the price, but performance does seem to be a little underwhelming from running with people who have them. I'll probably catch flak for it, but even with stock tires an HPI Venture will perform just as well.

Takes awhile for those new tire to break in and get traction, just picked up some Hyrax predators and dual stage foams, my favorite combination, on Method beadlocks for my VS4-10 Ultra

You will notice a world of difference when you put good tires and rims on it even Josh fron vanquish says the tires aren't the best but to help keep costs down they went with a cheaper tire . I run 90 weight in my Vs4-10 pro I like the heavier oil slows the shock rait down and eliminates a lot of the torque twice .

Throw u a set of hyrax on there n itll help tremendously. Ive got 2 vs4s n love them. One has a pro rear n custom made front axle, the other has trx4 axles

If you put the medium springs on it and use 60 weight oil on the shops that torque twist calms down

That chassis is a great base, ive got my vs4-10 chassis fitted to the element running gear. I just need some foams and its not far behind my comp rig

great video! I have two the pro and the ultra personally I use 70wt suspension oil and vanquish wheels with vanquish disk rotor so slw front 475 in brass and rear 600 in allu and the performances are there not much machine follows ...

Incision shocks are to soft for the weight of that truck.. try thicker shock oil or firmer springs in the rear before installing sway bars!

It kinda hurts my brains that a $1000 worth of truck is disappointing. I mean, I know tuning and stuff is always needed a bit but for out of the box tires on a truck that cost that much is kinda upsetting. I enjoy my trucks but have never spent as much as what you have in that one, I would be very sad with that run if it were mine. Hope the changes help!

I used to think the same way until I bought one. The fit and finish is very precise. Materials are top shelf quality except the tires. After you buy and mod most rigs on the market you will realize you surpassed the cost of the VS4 10 out of the box.

Well worth the prize tag. The axle housing by alone are $400. The transmission is $100. The tires are actually pretty good if you break them in and tune them. The truck would torque twist less if he would do some research and listen to his viewers

Had huge expectations on this rig And nothing but a "MEH"!!! There are some factors to consider why this rig "failed" to deliver. At this price range, we expect something really exceptional, right? But what? Build quality or performance...I say both! Could the tires be the only culprit ? Ok, tires are the first upgrade many of us do to a rig, and maybe that was the thought process over at Vanquish. "Throw in some expendables, cause they won't stay for long". As electronics go, there is a world of possibilities so, maybe this combo was not the best (but what is it then?). In the end, some will say its overpriced others over engineered, built for show and bragging rights, etc... but the main question is... Is it worth it? Cheers

The reason for the price tag is your not going to break anything. Every truck has tuning to do. It's part of the hobby. And the tires arnt that bad. I been running them for 2 years on many rigs

I know but in my experience I'd say its worth the money. very stong chassis and the gears in the transmission and transfer case are super beefy id say they are twice as thicc as a normal aftermarket piece.

I would say it’s not worth it..one off the quickest rigs I’ve ever sold great rig for side-hilling and a nice kit to build but it left a lot to be desired
