I can't stress enough how precious self portrait era was for me. It was the era that made him my bias. After becoming an exol this was the best era that I experienced. I was very worried because his album released just when the pandemic hit but he did phenomenal. He planned so many schedules. He was there with us everyday. My first album that I ever bought is self portrait. He mentioned his members in almost every schedule specially sehun. I was so touched. No one loves exo more than exo. I love him and exo so much.

EXO actually doesn't care if they rank no. 1 or not or a million seller. They always advised EXOLs not to buy more than 1 album, and buy padding coat. When they do unboxing, just like what Junmyeon did, he showed every page even when he was instructed not to. Why? Cause he thought there are other exols who can not afford to buy album. He doesn't want them to feel left out or less of a fan just because they cannot afford to buy merch. That's how thoughtful they are of Exo-ls

Self potrait is the first album that released and go thru early pandemic at that time, so there are lots of new things that he had to go through and many groups follow the same procedure of pandemic thingy after him, he is the first idol that did fansign video call for pandemic fanmeeting and been on news for that, he said fans always worried abt ranks when he and exo actually dont want fans to worry abt them, he just wanted to release those albums as gifts and gratitude sign towards fans, but fans are really eager abt the ranks and wins, do votings, do fundraising to puts ads on subways, buildings and so on and and IF it dont work out, fans will say sorry to exo saying 'we didnt do enough we are sorry' that is why suho felt hurtful seeing them, he just want them to treasure his gift and dont worry much abt those ranks and so on.

Suho's album was very successful in both physical and digital sales, it was 1 on Melon for 8 days in a row, even he learned of his 3rd win in the music show on this broadcast and gave such a speech because he was touched after learning. Junmyeon just received his third award for Let’s Love and they told him in direct (and on inkigayo, a very difficult one), so he was very emotional and asked fans to not worry too much about the charts because he doesn’t care about them, he just wants us to enjoy the music. EXO has a history of being sabotaged and robbed by important awards shows and after a particular downfall in 2017, exo decided to not partecipate more at awards show because the fans were suffering of always putting so much effort in voting and streaming for them not getting their right awards even if there are clear evidence them winning. So that’s why he’s asking to fans to not worry about charts and awards, he just wants us to enjoy the music.

Actually, Suho's the first artist who did the online fan meeting and also the video call fan meeting where only selected lucky fans were given the chance to have their albums signed by him and talk to him one on one. His album was doing very well and was on the top of charts, but i guess he's just aware how much exo ls work hard and stressing ourselves to give him the top spot on charts which he deserves. It wasn't the first time that exo ls were stressing about the rankings, we always do that in every comeback but for me, Self Portrait hit exo ls differently. Idk if it's just me but i really think that it doesn't matter who our biases are because at the end of the day, all exo ls have a soft spot for Suho and we were very determined to make his first album a very successful one because everyone waited for it. So he opened up to exo ls during his fan meeting to let us know that EXO members know and appreciate our efforts and at the same time, they also feel bad that we're being sorry when we didn't make it and we feel like our efforts aren't enough.
