very beautiful presentation and explanation ,, thanks from the heart ! i just wants to ask how did you import the exoplan implant planning to exocad without it asking for scan body position and it straight jumps to implant connection, i tried to save the planned mesh as stl and load it but didnt work either

Thanks so much for watching and glad you liked it! Hmm - It automatically imports or asks to import the implant position when you import it from exoPLAN to exoCAD. You are right. You are trying to save the mesh of the implants as an STL? I think you can save dummy implants, or the implant bodies without any connection geometry. That is possible to export that as an STL, but the implants with connections, like an internal hex - those are protected libraries and can't be exported.

@puravida4evr i got it ,, thanks so much 🙏 the dilemma is for example i use Osstem implants , the connection (ti base) isn't available only as a scan body ! , am trying to use built in library as custom abutment (ti base ) as long as 20mm then i ll use a Cylinder (widly available) then pick up from pt mouth ( i ll drill the screw channel channel wider to allow the cylinders to pass through , then inject acrylic let it set and finish outside the pt mouth ) hope u got my idea , how do you think of this idea ?

@@ashouhdy Got it - So if you were able to digitally make and access channel all the way through the design where the implant is, that would allow you to pick it up in the mouth? Is that what you are wanting? So you can save a scene as mesh and export the yellow access channels. Then bring that into exoCAD, and use those channels as a guide to make the holes. use Attachments panel (under free form wax-up tools) to make a boolean subtraction using a cylinder shape. You can change the size and length, and then it will cut the hole for you.

Hello, yes i have the same question; After planning the implant position in Exoplan , how do i take the exact implant position the i planned and move it on to exocad where you started by " Loading Implant connection " in Wizard? Thank you so much! Please provide instruction on how to do it. Thank you so much!

When you are planning the implant - it should be the actual implant system. Not a stock implant shape sometimes called a dummy implant. If you see a stock implant, and not the actual shape of the implant you are using then the implant library is not installed. You should have the same implant library folder installed in exocad also. If those are both true - and this isn’t loading automatically when you launch design from the exocad dental DB then I think what is wrong is that your dental DB for exocad and Exoplan are different folders. So on my exocad DB - I have the Exoplan icon, and CAD Design icon. They share the same case folder, so anything I do with implant planning is saved to the same folder that is used when doing CAD design. So when I launch design - a window pops up asking if I want to import the Exoplan case and the implant location - I click yes. If this is NOT case - ask your exocad vendor to make you Exoplan launch from your exocad DB, and ensure the files are being saved to the same case folder.

how do you set this up in the prescription form . that part was missing at the beginning. thanks

Ah - you set it up as an anatomic crown. Screw retained, and if you had a pre-op digital wax-up, you could click that too. Does that help?

@@puravida4evr Hi great video thank you , but unfortunately I also do not understand how you set it up before the begining so the exocad ask me to load implant conection and not just the scanbody scan beacuse it normaly does when you choose screw retained. Any advice please??

hi..how to open that in exocad after doing implant plan in exoplan

Hi what is select first page

I don't understand what you are asking Admad. Are you asking what is selected in the Prescription page, ie the data base page? Or, are you asking what the shift key does?
