The Good:
1: EXCURSION / XMAX Capabilties!
This woofer moves a ton without bottoming out the voice coil!
2: LOUDER MAX SPL (142.7db @ 44hz)
The Destroyer increased spl by half a decibel
(only above 40hz - Lost 2.7 decibels @ 30hz
3: EXTRA LARGE SPEAKER PUSH TERMINALS
(big terminal openings help when wiring multiple subs)
4: MORE POWERFUL 3" VOICE COILS!
(these new heat treated coils with up much better)
The Bad:
1: PAPER DUST CAP
(dustcap is too week for this price range)
2: DAMAGED CENTER POLE
(many gouges and chips taken out of the metal)
3: NO GLUE ONTOP OF BOLTS TO FRAME
(the basket hardware could use a dab of adhesive)
4: LACK OF LOW END BASS PERFORMANCE
(much less deep bass when compared to 12" lowballer)

If there's no dust cap, dust and particles of dirt, sand, etc can get trapped on/in the coils causing stickage or even a fire to happen in your sub. Not to mention, it will heat up quicker because the dust cap causes a vacuum. When it protrudes it sucks in air over the coils and blows it back out when it extrudes. Same way you do in your mouth when you eat something a little too hot

@@ryucrat basically everything you said is bullshit but any way putting another bigger dust cap over the original smaller one glued to the cone also does nothing to aid thermal power handling or cooling all it could possibly do is further stiffen the cone. The only time a dust cap or cone actually helps cooling is for example the old school eclipse alum and titanium subs when you have a metal cone connected directly to a metal voice oil former then the cone will heat up as the voice oil does pulling some heat from the coil and giving a much larger area for the same amount of heat to be dispersed to and as the sub plays the cone obviously moves in and out drawing air all over and under and acting as a heatsink the only way this could have really made a diff is a much larger area inside the cap and cone which is why he felt more air because it probably had 3 x the space inside which means 3 x the air being passed over the coil if a small cap is removed and replaced with a big one

Love watching the motivation man. Every video saving my life from all the bad things happening in my life for the last 2 years now and still continuing everyday sometimes. Especially the last years. A car accident in my Yukon Denali and I shattered my left leg shen bone that morning at 6:am ( January 3th 2018 )and then now to finding out my wife of 7 years now has been cheating on me for awhile. So I'm starting the process to start be a parts. I have a 10 yr old son from my first x, a 4 yr old daughter with my soon to be x , and now we separating she saying she is carrying again. So much fun in life lol . Keeping the up beat emotions bout every thing will get better soon.

I have a Cerwin Vega stroker st15 4d .. Great sub besides 1 flaw. The dust cap was aluminum and flat. If developed a crack from being flat I think. ( flexing with all that air pressure on a flat aluminum dust cap wasn’t a wise design. ). This happened soon after I purchased it too. It’s in the back of a suburban and I noticed a extra “ rattling “ sound coming from it for months. Couldn’t figure it out until eventually the crack became visible enough for me to see it was just a dust cap and not something more problematic. Replaced it with a 6 inch dome style cerwin Vega dust cap that solved the issue and looked better to boot. Just wish I could have found one that was also aluminum and dome style. Been a few years after my repair and it’s still a beast.

The laser on the IR thermometer you have reads about 1 inch below the laser dot at close range. at 20-30 inches is where the dot actually aligns with the IR temp sensor. For more accurate readings just aim higher at close range.

I watched an RMS test of a Aura Sounds MONSTRO 12" Which looks Identical besides the dust cap and magnet boot to the destroyer and is also rated at 2000w rms and it lasted like 1 min 50 secs around 1720 watts rms. The test video is on the Russian youtube channel R2v.

I absolutely LOVE your videos and appreciate them. Only thing I can say, I would never buy or promote EMF products. With someone as rude to customers, and actually pick fights with others just to bring brand awareness, rather than building a great product and positive promotion, I would never support him. Especially how he talks to people that were following him. And I was going to actually buy some of his stuff for the wife's Mustang. Not anymore. We're going Hutchinson's custom colored to match her car. I guess that's one thing good, he made me look elsewhere and find a better product from some absolutely great guys. You should check out their insane 8" and 10" subs. The all chrome are sick.

Hey what’s up man I have a KENWOOD Excelon XR1001-1 amp running at 2ohm to two JBL 12s that RMS at 500 watts at 2ohm and they sound pretty good I have my amp set right at 44.7 volt which is 1000 watts give or take a few watts they hit hard but not as hard as I expect them to ad can smell the coils getting hot with some deeper bass song would I get a louder harder hitting bass if I went with one 12in rms at 1000 or 1500 watt what’s your idea I was thinking one skar evl or ddx 10in @ 2ohm at first or a 15in sub need some advice here

Hey man, new to the channel, I love your stuff. I'm resurrecting some old equipment to go into my ride and I wonder what your thoughts are, and where I should spend the little money I have. I reconed 1 of 2 MTX 10" Jack Hammers. I have both MB Quart amps working great (1.1500D + 4.60) I've got two Lanzar 6.5" Mid woofers with active crossovers and 1" tweeters. I also have a set of 5.25" full range speakers. I'm running it on an adjustable line out converter and a head unit from a 2010 Honda CRV. Should I spent on a better head unit, or wait till everything is dialed?

I'm not a big fan of the Rockville subs but honestly there's some people that have good interactions with the subs. I myself run the Rockville pro 8's never had an isdue with them and I put 3k rms of mids and highs to the Rockville db 45 it finally cut off on me after playing it for 5 hour's in my truck with it only on just to play music. So I don't bash any 1 company cuz everyone I know in car audio has had bad experiences with even the higher end brands
