Is Pre Errata Last Will the strongest card in the game’s existence? Many argue Painful choice is the best card but I think that’s because Last Will was already errated by then. Man, Chaos vs Exodia is gonna be nuts!

Second strongest. It's literally infinite summons from the deck for free. But it doesn't often come up in conversations because this version of it was in such an early version of the game and it was so quickly changed. The absolute strongest would be Chaos Emperor Dragon. It's not quite as powerful overall. However, it's critically WAY more searchable and wins the game on the spot. A combo could effortlessly put three copies into your hand via Melody of Awakening Dragon, Eclipse Wyvern if it was legal, Starliege Seyfert, and the other craptons of dragon support.

Newer decks have way too many ways to play out of the graveyard and way too many live topdecks for CED to be a reliable wincon. Meanwhile, there are about a dozen banned or errata'd extra deck monsters which are both more accessible by virtue of living in the extra, and much more reliably win the game when summoned.

@@Okami400 if exodia wins then it has a better chance against metalfoes turn 1. the biggest advatange it has against chaos is being able to pull off ftk's once last will's effect resolves and cannon soldier is summoned. going second however, is where it will have a hard time recovering from CED unless the hand has 5/6 witch/sangan combination. so yeah turn 1, exodia has the advantage but going second it will be in trouble if imperial order or CED uses its effect.

Pre-Errata Last Will is just STUPID if you know what you're doing. Though pre-errata Sangan and Witch can make Painful Choice a 2 card FTK if you opened any Exodia piece or Graceful Charity(Shifter beats that play though). It's amazing how dumb the effects on some of the oldest cards in the game can be.

Exodia is a lot of fun to watch. 4:54 says it all. Extremely impressive win, albeit vs a deck that really didn't have good answers for it. Without Anti Spell this is a 3-0 easy. Next matchup, Runick Spright is fresh off a giant killing vs the top deck of all time. But can they follow it up against the 2nd best? Gotta think Snake Eye just has too much resiliency, and is definitely the favorite. But after beating Tear, Spright can take anyone.

Is this really how pre pre pre errata last will works? The original text from japanese say: "Instead of 1 monster sent to the base this turn, you can place 1 monster with an attack power of 1500 or less from your deck onto the field." (Translate from google translate, so might not be 100% right) So, from what i read, its kinda 1 for 1, anytime a monster goes to gy, you summon 1 from deck. Not 1 monster goes to gy and you summon 5 from deck

@@Lithium2300really? Because all coverage of this time period I’ve seen says that you needed cannon soldier, a monster to be sent to gy, and last will to win. Implying that it is only one summon per each send. It’s still incredibly powerful and almost always results in an FTK, but I think the power level in the video isn’t historically accurate.

There is a not a "when" or "if" in other words, the card never check in which moment a monster left the field, it only check whenever the monster was sent there, so it doesn't account how many monsters are there to check if was one or not, so by ruling it can go nuts and summon from deck an unlimited monsters
