I mean if you get swept by a gimmick 1 or 2 mon team, you did screw up. most of the time it's because either people misplay and somehow don't punish the setup or because they don't run priority moves or maybe the team isn't balanced enough type-wise.

That Magikarp at the end LMFAO reminds me of this old thing I saw on the interweb of old where it was talking about how magikarp was actually the best Pokémon based on its lore and stats. 20 base hp, 10 base damage, 80 base speed… and a 10 kg fish that can throw it’s self over a bloody mountain just think of the kinetic energy that would take… IRL there are fish that leap out of water when disturbed by vibrations from a motor boat and can break a persons neck if they connect right… and they can only jump about 5-7 feet out of the water…. Mountains are 100’s of feet high.
