So here's an explanation of the ending: When Constantine was a teenager, he tried to kill himself. This meant he was destined to go to Hell when he dies. Gabriel was going to release Mammon (the son of the Devil) by using the Spear of Destiny to open Angela's stomach.This would have broken the balance. Constantine knew he could not stop Gabriel, so he lured the Devil by killing himself, because the Devil wanted his soul. When he showed up, Constantine told him Mammon was trying to be born, which would have upset the balance. The Devil stopped Gabriel from releasing Mammon. As punishment for trying to release Mammon, God made Gabriel mortal. As payment for preserving the balance, the Devil offered Constantine one last wish before taking his soul to Hell. He asked to release Isabel's soul to Heaven, and the Devil granted it. However, before he could be taken to Hell, God summoned Constantine to heaven for his noble sacrifice. The Devil did not want to give up on taking his soul, so he cured Constantine's wounds and lung cancer, so that his noble sacrifice would not happen, and so that he would be able to sin and damn himself to Hell again.

It's the best anti-smoking campaign commercial ever.😂 Satan took the cancer from John's lungs simply to give John another chance to fail in life, rather than allow him to go to heaven. Fun fact for anyone old enough to remember, the guy who plays the demon Balthazar (Gavin Rossdale) is the lead singer of the band Bush. Remember the hit song "Glycerin" in the 90's? Yeah that guy. I always feel a little uneasy when they're shown scary movies. We don't want to disturb these nice people lol. But, Constantine is in my opinion such a good movie that any fear is greatly surpassed by the appreciation of such a well told story, the direction and the actors. I'm so looking forward to seeing Constantine 2. Hey all, if you like Constantine you will definitely like an old favorite movie of mine from 1989, Warlock. Get it, watch it.🙏

Random Trivia: the girl in the opening that was possessed by a demon spoke Tagalog. it said "Papatayin natin sya" which roughly translates to "we are going to kill her" but the Tagalog was grammatically incorrect. it should've been "namin" (meaning the demons only) instead of "natin" (which would indicate the demons along with Constantine would kill the girl)

Really great, amazing how the guys totally got the concept of the movie and constantine and understood the devil/angel/demons from catholicism and even the rules that were told about that religion, literally better than i did on my first watch years ago, well other than the spear part, the spear of destiny is the instrument that gave the death blow to jesus christ after he was crucified by the romans.

The actual spearhead itself is not special or decorated in any way, and is just a normal Roman army spearhead made from iron.

Whenever I watch scary movies, I watch comedy movies before I go to bed. I like this movie. So far I have seen Keanu Reeves movies is : Speeds, Bill and Ted all series of Matrix, John Wick series, Point Blank, and Devil Advocate. But there is several I don't remember him in the movie like Bram Stroker Dracula, Man of Tai Chi and The Watcher and Chain Reaction. I normally watch all of his movies. But how come I don't remember all new Sonic movies. Because I love Sonic. Anyway thats it. I can't wait to get my cataract surgery so i can watch my favorite movie Matrix series.
