I thoroughly enjoyed this review. Do you know about the movie "Repossessed" with Leslie Nielsen and Linda Blair? I highly HIGHLY recommend watching about 5-10 minutes of it. Doesn't matter which minutes or what order they're in. You will be richly rewarded.

I appreciate that you took the time to analyze this movie, but I believe most of your conclusions are swayed by the negativity you're already aware of. The opening exorcism scene is chilling and shot well. And adding sci-fi isn't an automatic sin. You pointed out that INCEPTION took that device and made a whole movie around it. In 1979, I thought that hypno-sync scene was really cool. All this was groundbreaking at that time. And the acting was normal for that time. Watch a 1960s film, totally flat acting. And that scene with the 2 priests changing tone, I didn't need a script to see the people leave and they felt free to socialize. I'm commenting as I watch your video, again, for 1979 this movie was awesome. It's been said recently.... E2 is a good film but a bad EXORCIST sequel. I think people simply have really high expectations for a 10/10 film sequel. Sequels at that time were immediately condemned... Rocky 2, Psycho 2, JAWS 2, all had immediate bad reviews. I'm not saying EXORCIST 2 was a great film, but it's been unfairly judged for 45 years. Personally, I think the first film was overrated. It has really bad editing. The opening scenes make no sense when trying to connect it to the rest of the film... but just like this film, it was different. EXORCIST 3 changes to a crime drama, I think its the best of the 3 films.
