There are some novels/audiobooks that fill in much of the timeline as well. It's up to you to take them as canon like much of the non movie stuff out there. My favorites are the audiobooks put out by Audible(iirc)that have separate voice actors playing all the parts and sound effects and score taken from the movies. They're not all equal in how good they are imo. But my favorite is Out of the Shadows where it's between the Alien and Alien's movies where Ripley is woken up and has to fight Xenos with another crew then has her memory of it erased. IIRC there's like 5-6 they produced. They're fun. I listen to them at night in my audiobooks I listen to at bedtime rotation. Oh, there's also one about how Hadley's Hope is taken down by the Xenos before Alien, too.

Story leaves out the part about the rogue Deacon like Alien that came out of Engineer at the end of Prometheus. It wandered the wasteland before it was a jungle, consuming nothing but black goo fluid until it mutated so big as a mountain it couldn't move any longer and died off.

I find myself absolutely drawn to any and all content regarding the Alien film series these days. Alien: Romulus was a bit of a disappointment for me. In fact, while nearly EVERYONE will disagree with me, after the original, "Alien" my next favourite in franchise is Prometheus. "Aliens" is excellent. But Prometheus had a scope that was nearly as massive as was 2001: A Space Odyssey! I've never seen another film so gigantic in it's scope or its consequences for humanity. Both films offer answers to the greatest question humanity has ever asked: "Why are we here?". If there's another film this massive in scope, that aims to offer answers to that question, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! I'm so hungry for those types of films!!

Meh, this is okay. I think there needs to be a lot more depth and fleshing out with this. The characters need a lot more depth for us to care, and i thought it was lame that the Xeno just randomly came into the story at the beginning. No build-up. I do like the Mutanted monkey idea, though. I did not like the mutated synthetic idea, though. This is more or less Alien Covenant, the comic book, just dressed up differently. Not terrible, though, but it needs work.

@Notoriouscj1 i think that's something of a myth within the genre. Yes, it's a common trope, and fear does tend to make people make rushed and foolish decisions, but it's not necessary to tell a horror story. The dumbass biologist in Covenant, for example, could have been killed just as easily without having him try to pet the alien snake. That said characters are often punished for sins. Hubris and ego in the case of Wayland, Greed and ego in the case of his daughter... In terms of this story its that they kept going back outside and didn't leave straight away once they realised the planet was teeming with hostile life. You could chalk that up to poor leadership and fear of the company... but generally, i think it's just not well written. Th

Tbh I don’t normally cover comics on this channel so I took a cue from larger channels that do so more regularly. They tend to blank out the word bubbles and I found I like that format. I think it’s less distracting so you don’t see words while narration is going. Aaand I think it has something to do with copyright as well, so you’re further transforming the work.

So, some dude makes a comic based on a popular movie and somehow it's suddenly considered to be a canon timeline? How is this any different than random fanfic and fanart on internet? This is as canon as Batman/Aliens, or a bunch of unrelated X-files book I've seen pop up in early 2000s in eastern europe. It looks like a bunch of unfinished sketches from DeviantArt or something, with "lore" which they simply came out of their ass with. All these novels and comics have nothing to do with the original films and are irrelevant.

Alien Romulus was THEE best movie in the franchise imo and absolutely the best one since the first one. We finally have a complete trilogy in my opinion. Alien, Aliens, and Romulus. That's all you need right there to not be confused and still be engaged in a fun, atmospheric, and thrilling movie.

Romulus is complete ass. ONETAKE is showing the Comic Book images and they literally could've worked with it but dropped the ball. Characters are boring af, unlikeable, couldn't even root for any of them. HELL! Hollywood always ruins shit, they could've at least turned Alien:Isolation into a movie. They did it to Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, etc. At least then we'd know it'd be trash.

? 3 added up. It loterally continued right after aliens. Prometheus threw it all out of sync, waylen was in 3 at the end. Then they made resurrection which fits in an adds up as well. Prometheus threw a curveball into everything as weylan was an oldman and died and its supposed to be a prequel to Alien
