Exorsus has done this in the past, (releasing their video before the world 1st/2nd guilds) so when Exorsus killed Lei Shen, Method released their video knowing that Exorsus would release theirs anyways. Also releasing it at this point in the reset fucks over guilds that have used their attempts this week, guilds that haven't used their attempts can watch the video and possibly kill it this week

The question is, how long do you wait. First 5 kills ? First 10 kills ? This was the 3rd kill - that's it, gold, silver and bronze were given out. Furthermore the guilds didn't ask them to not release their video (or at least i haven't seen any mentioning of this). If nobody asks you to wait, why should you.

Its not about who releases the movie first, but if they release it in the middle of the week, some other top guilds might be out of trys for this reset while others still have trys left. Could have a huge impact on rankings, thats whats bothering me.

It's more like Method waits til other guilds get their kill whereas Exorsus seems to have gotten the kill and went straight to making their video, regardless of who else has killed it. If Exorsus had gotten WF and immediately released their video, that would cause quite a stir in the competition.

That's not the reason there was an uproar... The reason was that most guilds that were 12/13hc asked Method / Paragon / Blood Legion to not put up the video as to not "spoil" the fight for them. Exorsus planted the video ASAP disregarding the guilds that pleaded them not to. That's the only reason there was an uproar.

Well apparently Exorsus was never asked to not share the video, and Method's response to this both on these comments and on MMO-Champ's thread reeks of butthurt for not being the first ones to release the video. Could've handled the shit situation like gentlemen, but instead they decided to act like kids. Screw them. Again, if you don't want it spoiled, no one is putting you at gunpoint and forcing you to watch the video.

You don't have to call it "raiding ethics from gods of raiding" but simply "fair play". Killing a boss is a reward especially for top guilds because they have to do it by themselves because there is no one ahead of them who can show them how to do it. It's the most exciting thing about top raiding and it shouldn't be pushed away because YOU want to see content which you can't ge to as soon as possible. Fair play = Respect to your opponent - It's part of every competition.

They are not. There is no direct competition, they play against AI. Other people trying to beat that AI as well. You can be the first, not the best.
