Thanks for the compliment. By the way, I saw "exo" in your name and checked out your channel. I see you're building an exoskeleton also. I think that's great!

You're building something alone, that could well take a small team of people to manage the whole project. Man, i hope this video reaches more people, would be nice to see you rise even higher with this channel!

You need to add a bleed valve at the highest point of the system. Flip the hydraulic cylinder over and run a 90 degree bleed valve on either port. And connect the hoses from there. Good luck!
@lionelslab26 күн бұрын
The bleed valve is a good suggestion. Thanks!

This is amazing great work man greetings from the uk 🇬🇧 can’t wait to see more …. Just wondering how much does it weight at the moment?.?
@lionelslab26 күн бұрын
I have not officially weighed it yet but my approximation as of the progress in this video is somewhere between 158 and 181 kilos (350 and 400 pounds).

Just an idea... would it not be easier to just use gas springs and a latch to open it and have a single pneumatic piston to close it? Might give you more space for other gadgets. Much respect dude , it's awesome what you've done here.
@lionelslab26 күн бұрын
Hi, I did consider gas springs initiaĺly but as you noted a cylinder would still be needed to close it. If I use a pneumatic piston then I'll also need to add an air compressor. I prefer to keep everything hydraulic. I don't like phneumatics for reasons I plan to explain in a future video. Thanks for watching and for the comment.

I can tell you made most of this with steel. Have you considered aluminum composite? This is really close to the Fallout power armor frame. If you could make it like that the Armor could be custom and removable.
@lionelslab25 күн бұрын
@@ZackBratvoldHi, I used steel because at the time it was my most practical choice for a first time project like this. I didn't have equipment to weld aluminum. I will certainly consider other materials in future exoskeleton versions. Especially for the purpose of reducing it's weight.

@@lionelslab how much do ya think a bare minimum exo would cost compared to an fully enclosed one
@lionelslab25 күн бұрын
@fajitasbro I actually have not seriously thought about what one would cost. I can tell you that I still have a lot of work to do and many components to add before it is complete, and hydraulics are expensive. I've been slowly building this exoskeleton for several years and little by little I've certainly spent thousands of dollars on parts and materials. However some of that was spent on parts that I ended up not using because they either didn't work how I wanted or the design just changed. So until this exoskeleton is complete I couldn't give any useful estimate on cost.
