Exo Terra - The Crested Gecko Expedition

Exo Terra travelled to New Caledonia to study the extremely popular Crested Gecko, or Correlophus ciliatus, in the wild.
Although these geckos are kept in large numbers, very little is known on their natural behavior, diet and habitat.
The Exo Terra development team learned first hand how these fascinating geckos forage, eat and sleep in the wild.

Hey, I woke up today to the sight of tiny red mites in my juvenile crested geckos cage. From what I hear they can harm my gecko and come from wood. (I recently purchased a large chunk of driftwood for my tank and put it in). I have no idea what to do and I am scared that chemicals will harm my gecko, any suggestions?

Unfortunately, when going on expeditions, there is no guarantee to see particular species. We would have loved to see one, but we were happy to find all the other popular species!

Yeah I would just buy one captive bread. They are protected there and I do not recommend taking them out of their habitat due to them being a vital part of the ecosystem
