Exotic JZ Cobra Concept update in HD

Here Is an update on the JZ Cobra concept reshell on a supra. This has not been painted yet. The black is only a guide coat. The whole car has been wet sanded with 400 grit. Next the whole car will be wet sanded with 1000 grit ready for paint. Most of my subscribers will notice a few differences in the body work compared to my last video. I will also be changing the roof shape of this JZ Cobra Concept like many other exotic super cars have done in recent years - like the Lambo Aventador and some newer supra concepts. True, it does have a very unusual look to the front end. Its the aircraft avionics and futuristic look to the car that swoons me.

Green and black - the green you see on the headlight.It is called Atomic green and it is a metallic that looks just like a Kandy.For now I will have no rear wing since that is still in fashion.But I defiantly will build a wing to suit and it will be remote controlled.Not much weight has been added because a lot of weight was dropped off when panels were replaced.But the very big sound system that will be installed will likely add about 100KG. Not a prob for an engine that can easy do 6-700HP

Hey thanks for that mate. It is very solid and not floppy. The top line that is just below the mirrors and curves round the front bumper is the line I think you are referring to? This line gives it the look of the head of a king cobra, and is integral to the design. It is one of the things I like the most. But you have brought one thing to my attention.The very bottom skirting of the front bumper from the side needs some work to bring it in harmony with the rest of the side. Thanks 4 ur opinion

Yes I know what you mean. The thing that gives me peace of mind is that I have the means to replicate it quickly if something does happen. No use worrying about it. A hurricane could come or an earthquake. These things happen.

Thanks bro. Yea Tokey is my nephew. What do you mean by studying? Are there courses for this kind of thing? I had to teach myself. This is the way cars were designed back in the 70s. Now it is all done by computer and the computer does all the clay work as well. I am trying to show people like us that we can just go and do it with our own hands with out millions of moola worth of gear.

I am assuming it is a wide body kit and that your door panel is fiberglass or carbon fibre. In that case it will be any easy fix with fiberglass. Do you still have the entire panel? Because if you do not you will need to do a bit of clay work to replace the bits missing. If you do then fiberglass the inside of the panel then attach it back to the car and let it set in the right shape

Not quite. I still have to change the shape of the roof a little yet and it needs a proper paint job. Also the interior needs finishing.

i havent worked on the body yet, only maintenance, i changed the shocks for the tailgate, i swapped the leds over to a new cluster because the old one was fozend and wasn't marking the mileage, so i had no clue when to do the oil change lol, also i started to open one of the headlights, they are a huge pain to open, it takes me about 4 hours each! because if you use heat to try to soften the silicon, the plastic from the headlight melts 1st lol, so i need to cut the edges and then the glue

It looks fantastic! Cant wait to see the finished product! I do have some more questions though. What color do you plan on painting it? Do you plan on putting some sort of spoiler on it or leaving it as is? And has the car gained any weight? and if so how much would you say?

yeah, I've been watching your videos since back when it used to be green lol, I just want to post it there because the principle is the same it applies to any car and about your celica, you should really make your own design instead of just making a replica, that way you can use any headlights and taillights and wont have to worry about making or buying OEM headlights and taillights, also replica kits a lot of people look down at them, but they like more original designs, I like both

Dude, really like what you've done to your auto. How long have you been working at it now? I had a Mit eclipse and some scum bags ripped it off and tried opening my lambo doors out and totally ruined them. They stole my interior, stripped the body work off, got the engine, when the police recovered it they had even taken the suspension, it was a total loss. After that I kind totally lost interest in customizing my cars anymore, C'est la vie. Good luck, looks great.
