Congratulations on your approval for the Mustang GTD Supercar. You're getting a Mustang that has a higher Tech Multimatic suspension and active aero the IMSA & WEC Mustang GT3 can't use plus an additional 300+ horsepower over the GT3 Racecars that costs $550,000 to over $700,000 making the GTD a bargain. The 200 mph GTD is like a Ford GT supercar with a Mustang body. Congratulations. Looking forward to seeing how you use your New GTD. Having dug through nearly every performance component of the GTD while watching the 1st year IMSA GT3 Mustangs progressing each week finishing on the podium last week at VIR and on the podium at LeMans. Ford has the GT3 track numbers for making the More powerful GTD an unbelievable Track Monster . It will be interesting seeing which color you'll select.

My exact same thoughts about the 05 GT and the GTD. When I saw they announced the price of the GTD I thought about the GT being the same price. I don’t blame you for going with the GTD but the manual in the GT will be better imo and it has always been a dream car of mine. I guarantee the ford GT will be one of those cars that define an era in 10-20 years. Congrats man!

Congrats! Just a theory, look at Drag time channel when he was taking delivery of the Ford GT. He was writing the check of close totals among of 500k. So maybe not 50% of the MSRP as down payment. Also, most people was doing finance, I’m not familiar about the finance things but how can u finance a car two times I guess?

I believe Ford really looked at the applicants and selected the ones who have a history of using the product. They also looked at those applicants who would be an ambassador to the ones who just couldn't make it work financially. Thus giving those people the chance to also see it, experience it and know that Ford did this with the grass roots fans in mind. Ford isn't a fool though. They know you'll put that thing in front of others that can afford it, and could be a buyer down the road. Next year they are going to do a CUP series. Taking delivery at a cup race would be pretty epic.
