I was never that interested in the US or NY as a tourist destination as it doesn't seem like there's a lot to it culturally and architecturally (no offence), as you'd expect from a young country. I think it's only going to be interesting for people obsessed with US media and pop culture which I'm not. NY was nice to visit but lacks tourist spots and places to see. I think any large European City has much more to offer as a tourist. I was actually surprised that there is some decent food if you look but everything is so overpriced and people just seem to be obsessed with money and ripping you off. Many homeless and destitute, the Subway is in a very poor state and looks like a 3rd World public system. For a City that never sleeps it is also surprisingly difficult to find places to go out for a late meal or drinks and lacks districts for night life. It seems that each bar and restaurant is far away from the next. It's also surprisingly compact compared to Paris or London that cover huge areas in comparison. The huge queues for random average food like Katz's etc. is also confusing.

If you have 4 day,do not water one at Liberty Island! Just do the ferry across and take some pics. So many better things to spend time on. You will spend half your day in a queue.

If you only have four days, make Times Square and Madison Sq Garden your last day's trip (better yet avoid them entirely). They are extremely overrated, and you don't need more than two hrs there. You won't be missing much.

While it kind of goes without saying, the video depicts content about just the Big Apple. In other words, the video just mentions about New York City, so the video doesn't consider cities like Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, etc. It's at least worth mentioning toward those who are viewing the video in other nations besides the United States as well as those who might otherwise confuse NYC vs. NY state, the latter never really being taken into full consideration. Hence, NYC is really just a subset of NY state.
