Thanks for taking the time. Video started off good but took waaayyy to much time,rambling about the time share. While missing a ton of important info expats or digital nomads would want to know about. Nothing about cost of groceries, cost of rent, transportation options or the cost of it, internet options and speed of, co working spaces or options. Lots you missed.

Very informative... I have sat thru a few timeshare pitches just for fun and the perks but nothing like what you describe. Great that you are actually reading the contracts. Not many people do... devil is in the details!

Thank you for the very informative video. I'm going to Aruba in May, so I'm very glad to see that things are bustling. This will be my fourth trip to Aruba, the first time since COVID. The previous trips were strictly for vacation. This trip is for vacation and to evaluate for retirement. I will take special note of your advice about the timeshare presentation. BTW, we went to Panama for Christmas / New Years and to evaluate it for retirement. We enjoyed our trip alot, but it's not likely to be our retirement home. To be determined. I look forward to checking out more of your videos. Have a great day!

Mikkel, How long would it take to get Dutch Citizenship and how would residency work in the Dutch Caribbean (i.e. St. Martin, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Saba)? I heard that there is a Dutch American Friendship Treaty (DAFT) especially for Americans which facilitates Americans getting Dutch citizenship. What value do you see in Dutch Citizenship other than having access to Europe and how would it compare to say the Portugal D7 program or Golden Visa program in your opinion? Does a resident have to be in the Dutch Caribbean or would having a condo or home count as your on the ground residency?
@ericaghelfi32402 ай бұрын
You don’t need a Dutch citizenship to live here.

WOW great video glad it popped up on my feed. We will be retirees in a few years in our late 50s and we live in the Northern USA. We would like to buy a condo on an island within 4-5 hour flight . Just for our personal family use and to rent out when we aren’t using it. We have been to Aruba twice, Playa Del Carmen in Mexico many times, as well as Jaimaca and the Cayman Islands. You gave very helpful detailed . We will look into Curaçao 🇨🇼.

Great video! What are your thoughts on Curaçao??? I'm in the process obtaining permanent residency in Panama but I'm very interested in planting seeds in Curaçao. Thank you.

@@ExpatMoneyShow Thank you! I've been to Curaçao 5 times, I think you will like it there. It's a much more rich in culture and less "Americanized" than Aruba. Tourism is not as big and I've certainly never seen or heard anything regarding timeshare products on the island. Thanks for sharing your timeshare experience on Aruba. That was very interesting.

You must be one really shitty real estate agent. You are to show any potential interested party the property. End of story. Learn your job.

Wow I can't believe you sat thru the timeshare presentation. I always tell tourist not to go to them no matter what they are offering, dinner voucher, casino chips whatever. They will keep you there 2 hours. Also there are people who are selling their timeshare and for much cheaper. How did he react when you told him you were not buying?

The time to invest in Aruba is NOW! 💯 By 2030, the island has plans to redevelop it's airport into a massive one increasing airlifts from Europe and beyond. By 2023 British Airways will have scheduled flights to the island. Hence, real estate prices will rise sharply.

If you are a non resident a local bank can finance up to 65% of the purchase or construction price. And you would have to submit the remaining 35% plus the notary fee and bank charges. Max term would be around 15 years (this is info from just one local bank) Any info regarding buying a property on Aruba I would be happy to answer, your local Aruban Real Estate Agent

You are talking from the average person point of view, this is for the rich. You got to balance this out. Then it would be a fair play. Thank you anyway.
@brendamelton47042 жыл бұрын
@@ExpatMoneyShow Thank you for your response. What I mean is not only people that are rich stay in Aruba but you have middle class also that is moving there and not so middle-class and I think that you should cover all areas of income. That’s good if you are doing financially great but that does not mean that everybody else who want to move to Aruba is doing financially great. So if you don’t mind sir can you please balance it out from the rich to the not so rich. I believe even military veterans would like to retire in Aruba. Thank you for your answer in advance have a great day and stay will protected
