I just got back from Bali and the heat was miserable! It was 90 and 99 Percent humidity. Also the traffic and pollution is terrible. I learned that I certainly can’t live there! Everyone make sure you make a short trip to explore first before deciding to move to SE Asia.

Yes, Denpasar and the southern areas are very touristy. I lived up north in Singaraja. There are also dozens of beautifulmountainous areas that are cool and even cold at night.

You’re 1000% correct I have been everywhere in SE Asia except Phillipines. The traffic, Pollution and Heat especially in Thailand is not good ( I love Thailand) . My plan was too retire in the next year or two in Thailand but now it will be Holidays for extended periods and keep my Home in Melbourne , Australia. As been said do your homework and trips before any decision is made and I would never ever - sell Australian Real Estate to buy SE Asian Real Estate .

Yes, regardless of where you move, visit first and seek areas outside the crowded tourists zones. Yes, I also visited Thailand and it is still a future possiblity. Watch all my travel playlist and of course Dan's here on Vagabond Awake to learn how to explore first. There are 7,000 islands and possibilities here in the Philippines alone. Even on Bali there are hundreds of options other than the typical locations. Ubud and Singaraja were among the options as are cool, fresh mountain areas. It takes more than a one week vacation to know where may be best for you. Too, why just pick one? Explore and enjoy various options first. It's all an amazing adventure.

If i went to mexico or vietnam what american bank that I could use to have my money sent to so I can access it without all the international fees or withdrawal fees. wow, this guy is definitely in a cheap area in the philippines, we live in moal boal and there is no way anyone could get a two bedroom bungalow for under $20k php a month and getting a honda 125 for $300 makes me wonder if it runs 😂😂😂😂. I bought a new yamaha 125 for just over $57k php at the dealer… We own our home and property but spend about $7k php monthly on electricity, wifi is $1500 php for home wifi and about $1k php for phone data

I lasted six weeks in Cebu City. It's not Thailand. The food sucked and the friendliness always seemed forced. I lived on the east coast of Bali for six months and loved it. I lived in Mexico twice. Once in Guadalajara and then in San Luis Potosi. I liked it but people are much friendlier in northern Thailand.

I actually remember you and truth be told you always seemed like a bit of a curmudgeonly complainer, so I take your opinion with a shaker of salt. The people in the PH are way friendlier at a deeper level than Thai's, who are that way on the surface due to cultural norms. Not saying they aren't superficially nice before they think and then go and talk smack about the farang in their language. Gotta call a spade a spade. That said, the PH has A LOT of issues that Thailand doesn't.

On point about the effective use of imagination. Nothing that is made or was ever made without the universal substance of imagination. Belief = being glad in. Desire = of God (imagination). All things (thinks) are possible now. Believe and receive. Doubt is "the devil/hell". As indicated in this interview, one must live in the state of being desired rather than day dream about living it. All power to create deliberately resides in "I am that" not "I will be that" for the later declaration implies I am not that. I am one who lives this truth. Imagine well. There is no idle thought.

But at the time I wrote the below report, here is why we decided to not get a retirement visa in the Philippines. The short story is that if you are from the visa free countries, you can extend your tourist for up to 36 months. Thanks for watching @cob302v8! The service providers set the price in most cases. But don't worry if they offer it to you for too low. You can always pay them more or tip them if you like. You will not find tipping to be a problem in most of the world.

There are lawful minimum daily wages in the Philippines and they are already abysmally low. In my book it is plain wrong to take advantage of ignorant and desperate folk. Come on man, get REAL. Could you manage on $15USD per day, let alone per month? Sorry, not cool. Very disappointing that you seem to think it is.
