For the mosquitoes I bathed with lemongrass soap and had lemongrass body butter. Not one bite.

My first time July 2023, and am planning on coming back. Two things I want to add. Yellow fever vaccine, plan early it’s not as readily available as before. Some insurance companies cover it. Also carry Cottonelle in your crossbody. Oh one more, get a phone holder necklace, makes taking pictures so easy.

Bring along some packets of sports drink that you mix in water like Gatorade or Liquid IV. It really helps as you adjust to the humidity and if anyone in your party gets sick. For little ones or picky eaters, bringing snacks they like can help a lot. Our youngest is a picky eater, so having granola bars and other things he likes helped when he wasn’t sure about the food at restaurants.

How much money should I travel with in pocket to Ghana ?
@FreedomQuests5 ай бұрын
I know I came with at least $300 but it's up to the individual. I always say exchange $100 at the airport so you can pay for your ride from the airport and tip. The visa is welcomed and to get money from the ATM is dispersed in Ghana cedis so you can more when needed.

A lot of great tips on the visa prepartion. I always say, " coming to Africa is a big deal financially and physically being prepared is a must on every level." Hey guys, love your tips and tricks. What are your thoughts on bringing a stroller? I was born in Ghana and moved to the US when I was 9, haven't been back in 19 years. We're finally visiting in September with my baby, he will be 23 months. I would like to know if touring in a stroller would be more difficult than carrying him around.
