I remember back in 2011 when I arrived in the U.S. I got lost so as Africa I saw a black girl age about 30 coming into the Metro rail station, I decided I ask her for the direction and she'll smell at me, she said hey fuck off from my face, at tgat moment i was very sad and surprised her attitude towards me. At the same time, there was a white lady coming out from the metro station, she saw what the lady did to me, she realized I'm new in town so she came to me, showed me the directions, and also bought me Metro card, said I can use it for one month, also took me to a store close by bought me a food. We became very close friends not knowing she was a single mother with one girl, add me to hee family. After 5 years later I took her and her 7 years GHANA, and ever since we have been going back so my times.

The Ghanaian government has a $2 billion partnership with South Korea to improve the grid. I think Ghana is going solar. And also Elon Musk also has partners with Ghana to extend interlink satellite internet to Ghana, which is currently in operation. I am ordering one now from Amazon to my house in Ghana. The speed is amazing. You guys should consider that option

You are right about the lack of quality service which is due to countless reasons. One thing we should keep in mind is that service workers in Ghana make very little which affords them a much lower standard of living than their counterparts in the US. We would encounter similar issues in the US as well under similar circumstances. Thanks for keeping us updated on Ghana!

I'm an expat and the people of Ghana are following the example of the politicians. The government keeps increasing the price of things connected to the coming of the diaspora, like the Visa and fees for extending your stay. They are even trying to force some ridiculous mandatory public insurance on visitors. Anything to pull in foreign currency prices without the infrastructure or quality. The Ghanaian people also suffer and have learned grift from the government. As far as the lack of customer service is concerned, that is tied to a lack of proper training and apathy/anger at low pay or no pay. I was shocked to learn that some companies have withheld payment from employees for "months"‼️😮 ... You know that could never happen in the states because people would riot. But Ghanaians employee like nurses and even store employees have experienced working for no pay. Like the hosts say, you have to be built for Ghana, it's not for the weak.

@nefertinaabrams1853 American's would RIOT is a LAUGH! As an AMERICAN we RARELY take to the STREETS to hold our GOV'T to ACCOUNT! We have UTILITY MONOPOLIES, HOUSING and LAND TAXES (being protested in KENYA, but AMERICAN'S PAY THEM without push back), etc. American's are DOCILE and COMPLICIT! Don't let the PRO-PALESTINIAN/ GEORGE FLOYD PROTEST or RODNEY KING RIOTS fool you... those are RARE occurrences.

In Ghana it can be all day worries as opposed to the U.S. big spot worries. It’s worries about land, renting and home building and maintenance in Ghana, oh and general services fair pricing, which can be tedious and exhausting. In America you have the big bad events but aren’t a concern if you stay out of the way for the most part.

Ghana was established in 1957. NATO launched a coup to oust the first president for his Pan Africanist views, pushed the nation into military rule & coups. I will be in Ghana in August 2024. I planned to make initial arrangements to move to Ghana, but I do not believe Ghana wants the Expats in Ghana. They are making everything so difficult! This includes the leasing of land rather than being able to purchase. Why move from the US to Ghana and be treated as a foreigner? Might as well buy more property in the US. The immigration process is insurmountable.

As a matter of fact, Ghana does not owe Nigeria $300 million. That is palpable false. Ghana has never owed Nigeria $300 million ever in the history of Ghana - Nigeria gas supply transaction. The biggest amount Ghana has ever owed nigeria is $160 million only, and that was in 2021 That was not even the reason they cut the gas supply to Ghana, they were doing their planned maintenance work according to ECG and Gridco. And everyone living in Ghana knows that the exercise did not affect Ghana in any way. Ghana has rather had constant power supply since that time till now despite the gas supply cut by Nigeria. I don't remember the last time my light went off after the Release was made, at least in my area. This is a fact that everyone living in Ghana can attest to.

I bet you don’t even know anyone who has had land for more than 10 years , you need to understand there’s no land for sale in Ghana it’s lease land that’s why on your indenture says deeds of lease not deed of sale , if your children inherit your land then what would be the point of lease ? Understand the legality of the contract just because families don’t always end the lease don’t think the land is yours
@mrw1762
@mrw1762 Ай бұрын
@@slaveman2818 you’re misunderstanding something. Yes the land is on lease as you said. But I’m talking within the context of why it is so in Ghana, not like somewhere else. The only people the land is entrusted to in Ghana are the stools and a few families. Even they aren’t considered the ‘owners’ like you understand ownership in America. In Ghana, nobody really ‘owns’ the land, as in belonging to them till eternity. But once you’ve bought it it is automatically renewed when the lease term is up. This was explained to me at the lands commission itself. Please don’t apply American concept of land ownership to Ghanaian. The interpretation of ownership is very different.

@@mrw1762 this of all the Ghana constitution is created by USA and the uk constitution in other words the white man , even your court system and police system was created by them but anyway you only get automatic renewal if you are from the same area you are leasing the land and understand that those who have a freehold title in Ghana don’t need a renewal clause their children will inherit. what you need to understand about Ghanaians they are servants to the American 🇺🇸 government and uk 🇬🇧 government French 🇫🇷 government and Chinese people we know this based on the natural resources of Ghana which suppose make Ghana trillions per year but instead we see Europe benefit from your wealth because of the red carpet you lay for them it’s the same thing all over Africa , Ghana laws does help Africans to make it in life and this whole return back to Africa is a scam , there were no lease land in Ghana before my people were sold Into slavery by Ghana people
