I had a mando helmet layer shift and ghost printed the top. You hit my issue right on the nail in the first 7 mins of the video. Im looking forward to the mando helmet video pt. 2. Thanks for the help!

I got to my 6th Mando helmet with 5 of them having failed and needing the top printed separately. By that point I was saving the Cura project and simply dropping it under the bed the desired height, it was happening so often. Anyway, my tip is to spot glue the top in three or four places and then run superglue around the join on the inside of the helmet and sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on. It welds the two parts together solidly and even expands partway through the gap to help fill it.

Up watching through streams and podcasts while working on WH models. But just a thought on the R2 thing. Probably a pain in the ass cause of the paint side of it but a MK85 scheme on one would be sick

Well frank, my opinion on the mk 40 shotgun, missing the middle section, you could’ve reprinted the top half, watched the print when you have extra time, and stopped the printer after it printed that inch portion you missed and just weld all three pieces together, then bondo a little, and quick sand. Just how I would’ve tried it.

I have a 3D Printed Din Djarin helmet done and after a year or so, I noticed it started having embossed lines around the top that also seems like a line of bubbles forming inside. I checked today and now it created more lines and very obvious and when you press it, it feels brittle. This was only on display and never brought out. Does anyone have any idea what has happened with it?

Funny, I’ve never had issues with the the stock filament other than the Ender 3 and the dogs head not finishing. But yeah the stuff for my E5+ had 0 failures

Lol funny you say that, I’ve had my ender3 about 3 weeks now and the first print I did was the dog and the filament that came with the printer ran out at 98% and the dogs head didn’t finish on mine too.

Do you need the silicone cap for the nozzle on an ender 5 plus? Mine broke a little. Also I’m finally trying Sunlu Pla + and it keeps clogging on 210 degrees, does 220 work best?

Yes that’s a thermal sock. It helps regulate the temp. Just grab a new one from Amazon. And try 215

@@FranklyBuilt Yea....I saw that as I watch the rest of the show...relatively new sub been printing on a Prusa mk3 for 2yrs....(bout to go resin EPAX 310)...still try to learn stuff from others...Really enjoy your channel....suggest u try Prusa Slicer if for nothing else you can (build with it) cut and paste, squish, stretch and join files, can't afford $700 for Zbrush....keep killin it my friend....THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE!
