Expedition Patch Is HERE!! No Man's Sky Worlds Part 2 Update
The latest patch for No Man's Sky Worlds Part 2 fixes a major bug in the Cursed Expedition. There are a lot of fixes and optimizations in this patch as well, but the major one is a fix for the Cursed Expedition phase 3 portal. It is now fixed and the expedition has been extended by 1 week to allow everyone to finish after having issues completing it.

@@bldymna 100 hours All farms can be set up easily. Money is not a problem after like 20 hours already. Materials are *PLENTY* but no actual use in them. 10% of the game are cool working things like Refiner, Planetary scanner, Exocraft materializer and 90% of the game are decorations. Monitors? Don't work 3D planetary maps? No, you can't have them So yeah, game is wast but...inch deep. Imo

@ ok, I specifically said "imo". Hope you know what that means. Content? Look back on it, where is the content? Ships mean nothing if they all have same functionality and you can easily use fighter as a heavy hauler. No identity. You make base, but why? To make farm? To make a lot of money? Ok, that will take you 20 hours, what next? Where will you spend these money? On what? Weapons are simplistic, same with space combat. Enemies just fly at you, then turn back, then fly at you again. That's all. Maybe it's not the main focus of this game, ok, but what *IS* main focus then? Exploring? You can't have planetary map, you can't rename your planetary markers even. In the end, it's just my opinion. I look at this game and see "wow cool game", but then I actually play and understand that there's nothing you can do. Build a city? Be creative? Why? There will be 3 working things in this city: Refiner, Trade Terminal and maybe some element farm. That's all.

Hey Jason: "Integrated AMD GPUs" refers ONLY to laptops and handhelds running on AMD CPUs that contain integrated graphics, such as the AMD 7780u CPU which has the 780m integrated graphics. That CPU ↑ "7780u" has 8 cores/16 Threads, and 12 Compute Units for rendering graphics. They're typically found on most of the steamdeck competitors like OneXPlayer 2 pro, GPD Win 4, GPD Win Max 2 2023, or Asus Rog Ally (which the Z1 chip that is identical to 7780u)....etc, there are countless of these handhelds running on these super powerful amd chips that can be safely pushed from it's stock limit of 35 watts to 54w, and allowing higher sustained clocks, significant increase in FPS.

Playing NMS is pretty sweet coming from other games like SC and Ed. Hello games team is light years beyond these other lumps of cells at other companies. They work hard on this game and it shows! Big shout out to the nms team. You guys rock and ty for making cursed glitch right. As a new player I didn't even start until exp 14 reduced and I am impressed. It's the only game I play now. And for me it just gets more and more fun. The community is f'n awesome too! Ty Jason you've helped me so much in this game. ❤❤❤

Of course they fix it the day after I finish the Expedition. I had the bug happen on Portal 5, and had to find a different workaround.

I love No Man's Sky. I also know it takes huge liberties with physics and astronomy, but as a 20-year veteran planetarium director, I was hoping the gas giants would at least have no solid surface: just like in real life. The things you could do with insane weather effects, clouds, and floating settlements and buildings a la Bespin in Empire Strikes Back, could have been incredible. Oh well.

Jason, you should start a new walkthrough guide ( for complete newbies ) .I start a new save with every major update and I noticed how bad first play experience is ( i.e. for folks just having bought the game ) : - the quest hopping is still present ( taking you OFF the main story quest whenever you come across a side quest trigger ,it even interrupts the main quest when you come across a class b MT upgrade telling you to install that stuff ) - the constant "go to Nada to tell about ...." during the main quest , completely destroying the flow of the - excellent - story - What I noticed now is just how good the story is IF you ignore the sidequest stuff (so do Artemis> Atlas > Autophage ) but it all gets lost in the constant interruptions HG should do that update next : make it a streamlined experience ,never deviating from the main questline ( unless you manually choose to do so via the log ) so folks can appreciate just how good the story is ... the only sidequest I did was the underwater stuff ( knowing there's massive ocean planets ahead I thought it might come in handy to unlock that stuff.... )

Even after the latest patch, the water on all planets still disappears from the air. It is visible after landing, but every attempt to dive causes it to disappear completely and you fall to the bottom. So far I haven't even been able to see the deep sea. Then there are none of the new water effects on the PS5 Pro, it is not clearly differentiated between the hardware and whether all the new features appear on all platforms. An additional wish: No Man's Sky is the "actually" perfect VR experience. But it still flickers too much and can't maintain the frame rate. And when flying through clouds or in storms, water drops on the cockpit would be so, so immersive!

I've had problems with my xbox x freezing randomly with no mans sky. Like if I mine longer then 20 mins it will freeze.

The thing is I know someone stuck on the first portal they used the elixir of blood on themselves selected the right milestone went to the portal had a second elixir of blood in their inventory and walked up to the portal and it didn’t work it didn’t let them use the elixir of blood on the portal. Now mind you this is the phase 1 portal

Yeah i had the 3rd portal issue in the cursed expidition i also had alot of stalling and freezing in my main save had to keep resetting the xbox

At this point the only thing I’d ask for is making an old expedition available every couple months. Been playing since before the first expedition with 1.3k hours in it yet I’ve only completed 4 of the 17 expeditions. I’m never available when they release new ones nor when they do reruns of them. I really just want to experience the ones I haven’t seen, hell they could take out the loot and I’d still be excited.

I wish they would make building less annoying, there are so many little things that make it way less enjoyable than it could be. Not to mention that the variety of basic buildings (wood, stone, metal) is lack luster. I would like different textures to differentiate between roads and floors for example.

I am very pleased that they fixed the crash issue(but there's another issue that needs to be addressed.) Apparently....not all televisions can support video & audio on the PS5 version(as it just goes to a black screen.)...which means that I am forced to use the PS4 version on my PS5...wtf?

Is there any indication of the animals getting an update? I like having my pets out and doing things, since they can fetch resources and just overall be an interactable (and somewhat rideable) pet. However, most animals I find are janky and grossly disproportionate, and when tamed often make terrible mounts and half hearted combatants. I mean I get a Strider and it acts like it can't walk more than 1mph when before I had to sprint after it to catch up to its wild 'walking speed' to tame it- they seem like they should be really fast but aren't. Additionally, I have a butterfly pet on one of my saves and the wings still turn the audio to garbage after a minute and I don't know why. I just like pets a lot, and I get they aren't the forefront of NMS but since most worlds have animals and we have a pet mechanic, I'm really hoping to see some updates on the overall generation, hopefully better cohesion between the random animal parts (no more absurdly tiny heads or clipping sixth legs, funny as they are at first sight), and overall more usefullness as mounts and combatants. Maybe have abilities like acid spit or search functions to make them more companioned. Mostly I just want to know if there's any plans for updating the animals? I just about always have a pet out wandering around me while I explore- if not actively riding on one like a Butterfly to move faster and get a better view of the land. (I'd use a beetle but I can't stand how it doesn't maintain a smooth altitude- makes it impossible to see anything. At least the butterfly slowly descends and ascends.)

Unfortunately, the same issue is happening to me in Phase 4 now. Only one blood elixir, it's the correct one, milestone selected, but the portal only acts like a normal portal and doesn't take the blood.

I updated on PS 5 last night and managed to get through the third portal. Now I am trying to find a planet with a second exotic creature, and a deep sea to float on. From what I can see the only planet the had a exotic creature was the planet with the third portal, and the forth system has changed so it no longer has the cabled planet. I am finding it very difficult spot the seas from orbit due to all the clouds and the draw distance.

That was the most annoying part. The cabled planet only had *1* animal and you had to scan 2. I ended up warping back to a previous system from the station to scan the second life form.

the sea does'nt need to be deep, 50u, so that's on any planet with water pretty much, the exotic you should find from memory on scaly world in the 2nd or 3rd system

@@davidrenton I managed to do the deep water float by flying towards a player's base, so that is done. No scaly world in any system, the system I have available are: System 1 - Ahagil III: Hyperborean planet, Hot planet, Tropical planet, Life-Incompatible Planet, Overgrown Planet System 2 - Noysms-Ksud I: Foaming Planet, Doomed Jade Planet, Forsaken Planet, Doomed Jade Planet, Xeno-Colony Systen 3 - Iimizuk-Era: Fiery planet, Forsaken planet, Vile Anomaly, Scorched Planet, Glacial Planet System 4 - Miurai XI - Sub-zero Moon, Cerulean Planet, Hot Planet I have gotten the one on the foaming planet, can anyone point me to if I missed one.

I noticed none of the number sequence hints were showing up in the outposts so I was just guessing the right number. I thought maybe they removed the hint aspect since it was easy to solve usually, but now it's back so I guess it was a bug

Since this patch base building is not working right. Newly built parts can't be moved or deleted for me, and a few other people have reported it as well. Also placing items isn't working right, with locking sort of working, but base building not recognizing the ground... very strange.

I've been having an issue with falling through the planet's surface while on foot, especially when leaving my base. Also, I've added to one of my bases and am now unable to place anything on the floor. Furniture, plants, tech, nothing will place. Tells me that it's an invalid position. Very frustrating.

This patch broke base building on ps5. Can't place base computer or other non-camp items and in exist bases can't move,delete or color an item once placed. 😢

You can go to the space station and travel to some of your past systems to look. I took a Pic on my phone of what system it was

@wowfreak141 it should still show up in past systems visited. If you go to menu and along the left side in your discovery, just have a look at some of those. If you haven't gone to too many than you hopefully find it

5:10 - AMD *integrated* GPU. That's teh GPU in the processor. If you have an actual GPU, that issue doesn't exist according to the patch note.

My issue with the Stelar Multitudes mission was that there was no Quartzite in my created system only activated Quartzite which stopped me from making the device 😅 had to aks a twitch chatter of a streamer for help

I have a bug every time I enter space combat the enemy ships bounce all over the screen so fast that my eyes cant track them making it impossible to shoot them , all i can do is avoid combat which im sure at some point will be impossible so i hope this will get fixed soon

one thing I wish they'd fix is when I change graphic settings, it crashes on me. Did it with both the steam and GOG version of the game. So if the developers watch your channel....hope they fix it. I do like the new updates though.
