I installed wheel mounting bolt to frame using 5/8" x 1-3/4" SS large flat washers (FUD0711008) to increase bearing area on aluminum frame. Works great! Thanks!

Would that be better using carriage bolts? Anti-thief?

The bolts are not accessable with the door closed so it could not be easily unbolted. That said, any thief that brings tools is usually going to get what they want.

I have the Thule double bike rack in the passenger side rear door. I want a spare tire carrier. Will this carrier work with the Thule bike rack??

It should but you might have to mess with the bike trays. Are they adjustable? We have heard about those carrier denting doors so you might consider upgrading the bike carrier as well

Every wheel/tire combo is goign to be different but 80-90lbs should cover most

You mention 180 hinges can 270 be used if a gas spring or limit strap is used to limit door opening?
