I had a childhood friend, who went to West Point. Served 2 tours in Afghanistan, and 1 in Iraq as infantry officer, he later went into military intelligence, and served for several more years in that role, he eventually came back to his family, and after the kids got a little older, he went back to school to get his masters degree, we all warned him to avoid the protests, but he challenged a group of young college students who were girls, he was respectful trying to talk to them, but they were nasty and angry, he explained to them about all The time he spent in the Middle East,’, years of deployments, he was met with disrespect and. Ignorance, this man is a dedicated family man and father, he asked the leader for the girls for her military experience since she seems to know better then him, she said her family owns 5 large grocery stores and that she’s very wealthy and her family own businesses, and none of them have military service, yet he said I Ben there, it’s very complicated in the Middle East, there’s so many different groups and ethnicities, the Shia’s, Sunni, Kurdish, etc, then there’s the Iranian influence,, weapons, proxies, he was respectfully trying to tell this girl about his service there and how complicated it is, hoping she would see he’s spent years in that part of the world, ya no, apparently this girl Is more knowledgeable and intelligent when It comes to war in the Middle East then him, when he tried to defend Israel, she went nuts and when questioned by him how on earth can you know better then me? You are correct, a University, while receiving public money is not public property. I can’t just walk into a lab and use the equipment. I can’t just use their library. While the campus might let me cut across the campus or eat in a cafeteria, I can’t disrupt the function Ipoh the university.
