This can't be an unplanned one, as we can have multiple issues during Ladakh trip. We planned Mumbai to Ladakh in Sedan. In this video we have summarized ladakh trip in terms of fuel cost for Road trip to Ladakh, stay options during ladakh trip. Cost of ladakh road trip varies from person to person depending on the stay types, mileage of the vehicle etc.
In this video we have covered our entire journey from Mumbai to ladakh, which is broken into mumbai to manali, then Manali to Leh and Leh to Srinagar. We have touched upon various transit stay on the way to Ladakh and also, covered the stay at famous tourist places of Ladakh. Thanks for briefing so nicely. Loved it and noted your stay. Did you take Diamox 250 tablet daily once? I’m from Kolhapur and planning to go in September.

Thanks for the compliments. We took diamox in following days - 1. At Manali - As next day was Jispa (10.8 K feet) 2. Jispa - As next day was Pang - 15000 feet 3. At pang - ThoUgh with Diamox we climbed up from 6000 Feet in Manali to 15000 feet in Pang in just 2 days and also we were feeling a bit dizzy at Pang due to quick increase in altitude That's all, you can just take that a day or 2 before gaining altitude. Not needed, once you are aclamatized at certain altitude. However, I do not recommend taking any medicine without doctor consultation. We had one connect with our doctor at Mumbai before starting Ladakh trip !!

Overall approx 1.2 Lakhs from Delhi to Delhi for 3 PPL including fuel The trip was from 12 - 27 August

Thanks for all your love !! In Alto K series engine is really good 👍 This will easily go there for 2 main reasons ,- 1. Low wheel base 2. Good power 5/to weight ratio (as Alto is a light car) Mostly local Ladakhis use Alto like anything in Ladakh. Only problem you will face - In the water crossings where there are big stones, it mY hit the bumper. So, you need to be cautious and careful while crossing the water patches where stones are not visible

How about taking a sedan like Elantra. How are the roads.

Elantra is low on ground clearance. However, you can take Srinagar route to reach Leh instead of Manali. However visiting nearby places from Leh like Pangong lake etc will be difficult with Elantra !!

Yes, that is fine but in May you will have some snow too. Do drive with precautions, plan for belt/chain for your wheels as back up.

@@mangalmurtibhosale Slavia and Virtus are same on most of the aspects. But do drive Salvia too on bad patches. In Virtus they have made the suspension too stiff, which is good for handling, but at times it may pinch you in bad roads, which is very common in India. Do drive both the cats back to back in bad patches.

Srinagar se agar Leh jaaye to do advantage hai 1. AMS bimari home ke chances Kam hai, quiki Passes chhote hai. 2. AAP jaldi leh pahuch sakte ho Roads Srinagar - Leh ke achhe hai !! So, trip k end me Manali rahega to thoda sa difficult journey aapke end me rahega !
